I’m pretty certain that 90% of what’s classified is classified so the American people never find out the idiotic shit they’ve been up to in foreign countries over the last 60 years. Just thousands of pages of documents about fuck ups basically.

i’m sure there’s some of that, when you’re talking about the political/human side of it. Most of the DoD stuff that’s classified is technical stuff that if it got out, would seriously compromise our communications, network, and physical infrastructure (not just military stuff, either)
Source: Me. Held TS/SCI clearance and worked on black programs. None of which were stupid and all of which were probably much more mundane (but vital) than you could ever imagine.

Yeah I’m only talking about the human/political side. Not the technical stuff which I’m sure you just described accurately.
And I don’t know. I deal with some pretty mundane (but vital lol) stuff for work.
Part of me was hoping Trump would release classified information about space aliens. Maybe that’s why he wants a Space Force.

It did. Amnesty International issued a travel advisory for USA.
My parents are always concern trolling about how dangerous it is in the various foreign countries I’ve lived in, so I sent my mom the advisory and told them to be very careful and avoid any malls, churches, or cultural gatherings on AI’s advice.
