Anyway, I support lil Wayne talking to Trump in a vacuum, and I support Trump’s pardon of lil Wayne in a vacuum. Don’t really give a shit if one thing influenced the other, and both are probably true. Not illegal to try to suck up to the president to get a pardon afaik.
I’m curious if he’s going to pardon Jerry Delemus. He’s one of the few guys that went to jail for the Bundy standoff - he pleaded guilty, watched other people walk and then tried to take his guilty plea back (that did not go well for him).
He and his wife are somewhat infamous in New Hampshire as complete nutjobs - we have a huge state legislature, and she was elected to it a while back - birthers, conspiracy theorists, and obviously big Trump backers. Unsurprisingly she gets on CNN a whole bunch.
NH Republicans have been pushing Trump for a pardon for a while, and she and her husband are part of the state party. I don’t particularly care if Delemus gets a pardon or not - I think he’s served 4 out of 5 years which seems pretty sufficient for what he did. I’m interested to see if Trump will pardon a guy who basically offers him nothing going forward.
