President Donald Trump is preparing to issue around 100 pardons and commutations on his final full day in office Tuesday, according to three people familiar with the matter, a major batch of clemency actions that includes white collar criminals, high-profile rappers and others but – as of now – is not expected to include Trump himself.

100 pardons on the last day is inexcusably lame. Why not 100 pardons in 100 days? Make it a big media event each day. You could even invite five potential pardees and read the winner live like it was the Oscars. Frequently Trump isn’t even good at being Trump.

Trump’s too lazy to exploit Presidential pardons. Dude could pardon thousands of people like himself easily but is doing just 100.
I can’t even name 100 Trumpworld characters, much less 100 Trumpworld characters who are currently in jail and can pay $2M. Does everyone who worked for him get a commemorative pardon?

I’m sure there are plenty of American soldiers responsible for killing women and children that’ll be pardoned.
How many of them are in any real legal jeopardy? Not 100.

My wife did. The news came out that he was pardoning a rapper and she said "That will be Lil Wayne’.

Do you think Trump had a clue what lil Wayne was talking about? But it did give Trump a good photo op, and gave Wayne a pardon. Seemed to work out best for both people. Anyone other than those two, harder to tell though.
