Trump Administration Part 2

That’s a nice car. There’s a recurring issue with the ICCU that cripples the car, that’s why I skipped it. Hyundai hasn’t seem to have figured out a permanent fix. I also didn’t like that there wasn’t a rear windshield wiper, especially in the PNW. I also passed because I think we would have had to have gotten a limited for memory seats and I didn’t want to spend that much.

I know Elon has plans and shit but I can see him walking away once he realizes how stupid and lazy Trump really is.

Has anyone appointed by Trump in his first go round lasted his entire term? They seem to either A- get exasperated and quit or B- involved in some scandal.

Maybe I’m a SSC and everything but I just don’t see Elon doing this for 4 years. He’s gonna get bored and move onto something else.

Mnuchin?

Musk has increased his net worth by almost 200 billion dollars since the election.

Let that sink in.

As is the idea that he is at all qualified to determine what part of it is wasteful spending.

The rear camera makes up for the lack of a wiper blade pretty well in my 2024 Ioniq 5.

I think the far more likely outcome is that within the first few months Musk pisses off Trump, or Trump feels like he’s getting too much attention, and within a week he’s out and Trump claims he barely knew the guy. And starts weaving in little tangents into his speeches about how “Teslas are such bad cars, some are saying the worst cars, I hear they lock you in and catch fire. Also they’re for homosexuals.”

Oh yeah, forgot about that. I think that was new that year, wasn’t it?

B is a feature now. Consciously or not, Trump is adopting Putin-style control mechanisms for his appointees. Past crimes and a taste for corruption are prime qualifications because they can be used to ensure loyalty. Putin’s methods are explained in this podcast posted by @simplicitus in the Ukraine thread a while ago.

It was a serious question. I don’t know what either of these responses mean

Just a joke. I think he spent $250M (though maybe $500M) supporting Trump’s election. His net worth went up, afaik, because the valuations of SpaceX and Tesla increased based on speculation about how Trump will reward Elon.

One of the greatest investments of all time. Elmo is definitely a piece of shit but he knows his wheelhouse which is grifting. He saw the biggest grifting opportunity of all time and went for it. True American legend.
