Inshallah.
IDK, call me sweet summer child if you will but I don’t think anyone is dumb enough to start a direct conflict with Iran. What for? Iran is only ever doing token reprisals in response to even direct provocation.

That would be funny (not really, but you know what I mean) if Trump was always bragging about “no new wars” and then Rubio yells, “LEEEROYYYY JENKINNNNNSS!!!”
I am sure all the people who included “no wars” on their reasons for voting Trump will immediately withdraw their support.
I remember some quote from this year of Trump saying he’d give Bibi the green light to end the conflict quickly or something along those lines maybe he said “get the job done” but it’s clear that Trump was saying he wouldn’t hold Israel back.
Also, a sizable portion of Trump’s base are fundamentalist Christians and Catholics. They are predisposed to support Israel and hate Islam. Trump has a history of pandering to these groups so I wouldn’t expect him to be less supportive of Israel’s actions against Muslims.
Iranian aligned groups are making oil tankers and cargo ships go all the way around Africa.
If we invade Mexico, won’t we just be importing people into the US?
No, we would be exporting Americans into Mexico.
Noem getting DHS. These seem like the same brand of nincompoop as the first administration.
First order or business: all the foreign dogs into the gravel pits.
Finally time to end the Shiba Inu menace.
Is this Trump thread without the Trump bot?
One trend I’ll be watching about the Trump noms: giving high profile gigs to potential 2028 candidates (Stefanik, Rubio, Noem). Keeps them in line and possibly fighting with each other b/c they’ll all think they have a shot to be the heir apparent. Meanwhile, the likely real power players (Wiles, Miller, Homan) will just be digging in and doing the work.

Anecdotally, walking around in downtown west palm and hanging out at nice restaurants in Palm Beach the last couple days you see so many ghouls out and about clearly attempting to find an in.
Trump 1.0 is for his current actions.
Trump 2.0 is for speculation of what he will do once his second term begins.
I assume they’ll eventually overlap and become redundant.
I see the difference between the threads as basically:
Other thread - Trump’s personal shenanigans
This thread - Incoming Trump administration and speculation about what the people being appointed will do
Cool, cool, cool. Can’t wait for them to all relocate up to DC. I wonder if Trump will try to get his hands on a new hotel in town since they sold the old one.
I just didn’t know where to put the post and thought there would be a new thread for the new admin. I didn’t even think of the trump bot thread. I essentially never looked at that thread ever because I never wanted to see a stream of Trump Tweets and I had forgotten about it.
The GOP could fuck over DC in ways that are terrifying to imagine. Not completely sure how it works but they could just defund the entire city, right?
There is no Trump bot thread on UP any longer.
It’s just general Trump discussion.
I haven’t dug in enough to see if there is a procedural workaround, but my current understand is that, yes, Congress could basically veto a DC budget.
