How often do you use silken tofu?

Almost never. This was firm, since it’ll be going into sukiyaki and needs to hold up.
Safeway, and it’s literally the closest grocery store.

My personal opinion is that tofu works well when paired with pork.

Tofu is super easy. Cut it into cubes, put it in wonton wrappers, throw those into the oven at 400 degrees until they start to brown, and dip em in duck sauce.

10 year vegan. I love firm tofu but I really really hate silken. The texture makes me want to vomit.

I think this is a great redux of Oregon Trail.
for my palate tofu sucks in general. especially not a fan of the crispy firm stuff. i’d rather replace firm tofu with paneer depending on the dish. although semi-soupy hot dishes with silken tofu are great. oily and hearty (like meat and fish) goes really well.
