TJ plays a ton of poker in Vegas for WSOP! ...And occasionally eats

Gotta love the :59 HH hits

I think it’s also that he clearly had some eating planned out but so far we’ve been treated to pictures of incredibly overpriced, very mediocre looking food.

Beat: had to give my social and fill out a tax form.

I thought it had to be a 4K- something score for a W2G?

Oh well, winning so much you have to declare it is one of those good problems I guess

That chicken parm is obviously the lunch of luckboxes. Don’t let the haters get you down!

I agree with you. I’ll be doing better though, I promise

There’s a McDonald’s in the D, but if I’m going for fast food on Fremont, I’d rather get White Castle. (Might be more of a personal choice, since I live over two hours from the closest White Castle.) And II’d rather go to American Coney Island if I am going for cheap eats at the D.

Binion’s Cafe isn’t horrible for reasonably-priced, straight-forward American food. I want to say Cracker Barrel-ish quality, acceptable for the right price.

Here’s the D McDonald’s.

It’s $1200 for a slot jackpot, $5000 for a tournament score, and $600 for something promotional like a high-hand bonus.

I’m going to Best Friend, Momofuku, Carbone, Lotus of Siam, Bardot and Lago (she made me cancel Picasso) next week to balance out the range. And if there’s any poker it’ll be mid-high stakes PLO

LOL, I was going to make a joke post about how many White Castles you could buy for 1200 bones but thought better of it.

They sell a “Crave Crate” with 100 sliders. Always wanted an excuse to buy one and share it.

Next time I hit a jackpot at Casino Royale I am buying a round for everyone!

This thread has been very helpful for me, as a relative Las Vegas noob, to realize a) put off a WSOP trip for one more year—I got excited a few months ago that Covid was getting under control and the WSOP with the vax requirements was going to be lit, but delta and the staffing shortages described in this thread put the kibosh on that and b) I gotta plan my restaurant schedule much better. Critics are tough in this thread.

During my last trip to Vegas in 2019, I had a number of decent, affordable meals in the mall attached to Planet Hollywood.

I mean, we havent broken out the crucifixes.

Good Vegas food at a reasonable price does require access to easy transportation. Most of it isn’t on the strip or downtown.

But there’s tons of places, especially ethnic joints, that are really good and reasonably priced. They just aren’t convenient to the casinos.

Picked up from the Nugget at +360, and +1200 more from the high hand :sunglasses::sunglasses:

Once again, lists at Aria and Venetian were crazy, so I’m back at the Wynn playing 2/5

This was closed when I was there in July, but may have reopened by now.

I just watched a Jacobin Las Vegas youtube where three of the cheap eats tips were in that mall (Miracle Mile shops). Ocean One 3 cocktails for $10 all day, and all items on the lunch menu are $5. La Salsa Cantina $4.79 breakfast till noon. I think there’s another place at PHo with cheap breakfast with outdoor seating on the strip.

The last time I stayed at Planet Hollywood, I skipped the long line at Ocean One by ordering online, picking it up (you don’t have to stand in the line to pick up), and taking it back to my room. I didn’t hate the food for that price.
