America runs on shitty coffee.
I mean the idea that coffee is a thing to consume from a paper cup while rushing to get to your desk is not a great start for coffee culture.
Coffee is gross. Tea, both hot and iced is awesome. Convince me I’m wrong.

It was huge in my NH prep school, especially “Bean boots”. Pilgrimages to the outlet store in Freeport, ME were made.
I don’t think it warrants as much hype as it gets/got. The quality is not great ime.

I played poker with a woman who put 12 sugars in her Timmies. It was hard to even watch.

I saw someone put 21 in once. I have a sweet tooth and still felt sick watching.
I did used to put a ton of sugar in my iced tea (like up to 6), but that’s different imo because most of it just settles to the bottom. So I’d keep stirring it, kick a little up, and sip. At most I was ingesting 2 packets.
But hot beverages it actually mixes in.
True. Somehow seems worse adding all that cream and sugar to already dishwater weak coffee.
By far their worst thing is the breakfast sandwiches with the plastic egg.

Actually one day I offered to buy her a scotch when I had won a nice pot from her. She quickly ordered a $175 ounce of scotch and I didn’t even mind.

I’m watching the hockey game and the Columbus arena has a Tim Hortons ad on the boards. I guess TH is a thing in Ohio too?

For many years Tim Horton’s was owned by Wendy’s and was technically a Columbus company.
They had a bunch of Wendy’s/Horton’s hybrid restaurants but that didn’t last to long.

When I first moved to Dublin OH about 10 years ago, I came out here before my wife and kids so didn’t have any furniture or kitchen stuff. That first morning, I went to get coffee, searched for Tim Hortons, and was interested to see a nearby location. So I groggily headed over there to see what all the fuss was about.
Turns out that I googled myself to the Tim Hortons Corporate Office, and the lady at the front desk looked at me like I was a fucking idiot when I walked in and asked if I could buy some coffee.
