Do you have to be someone special to buy an IPO?
Some vendor I deal with mentioned INPX to me a month ago, and today it’s mooning. No idea what’s happening.
Usually you have to be special to buy in at a good price, like a buncha shares are sold to accredited investors or something. For BMBL us peasants can buy in at open I believe, I’m not sure if they sold shares in advance of this, maybe they didn’t. For BMBL they are saying they expecting opening to be like $75.
It shows up for me on Robinhood but not gonna be shares available for $43 i dont think

I punted a few tens of dollars on KT and UBS after seeing them pop up in WSB DDs. Feels pretty dumb buying OTM calls on a dividend stock but whatever, this is a casino.
Edit: also, TDA flagged me as a potential day trader, lol. Apparently if I have one more “round trip” in the next 5 days I become a day trader and need a $25k account minimum. That’s a little steep for a meme stock account so it looks like I’ll be on the sidelines for a while

massive call buying on DNN $2.5 for every date, and like 10x average volume
might buy some march calls for .25 or maybe just shares since its so cheap

So just to review - unless you have some type of relationship with a broker you can’t buy an IPO. So, if you’re able to, you can almost always get 50% on your investment immediately with an IPO - I think, has there ever been any tech related IPO that hasn’t shot up at least 50%?
Pretty good system we have here. Hard to see anything wrong with it.

yeah read up on ‘accredited investors’, its a completely rigged system. that’s usually a requirement to getting in IPO.
In the United States, to be considered an accredited investor, one must have a net worth of at least $1,000,000, excluding the value of one’s primary residence, or have income at least $200,000 each year for the last two years (or $300,000 combined income if married) and have the expectation to make the same amount this year.
