The Television Streaming Thread: Part III

I must not watch enough TV because I don’t recognize any of those people.

None? Like you have no idea who Parker Posey is? Goggins, Monoghan and Isaacs? Thave been around forever in both television and film.

If you haven’t seen Walton Goggins in anything, you have some work to do. Parker Posey as well. Dang.

And Fallout

He was born for that role. Goggins has one of the best show history of any tv actor in history. Maybe the best. In the prestige TV era:

The Shield
Justified
SOA
Vice Principals
The Righteous Gemstones
Fallout
The White Lotus

Off the top of my head i don’t think anyone comes close to this in the modern era.

He leans in real hard to every role. All of which are somehow over the top and believable at the same time. I can’t imagine the pitch to actors to play the guy with a nose hole from Fallout. Goggins I’m guessing had no hesitations about that one.

Completely agree.

I like it. I get at least a couple of audible cackles from every episode. I’m a complete mark for Ford and Jessica Williams.

I don’t usually have strong opinions about actors, but I think the woman who plays Segal’s daughter is a terrible, terrible actress. My wife disagrees.

IMO Shrinking shat the bed in season two. Was a cute and easy watch and became terrible.

This show worth watching?

I’ll need a new comedy to watch to take the place of What We Do in the Shadows (which I’ll be finishing up tonight).

I personally think it’s great. Maybe not for everyone but it’s funny enough in parts to make up for the rough patches.

It’s also a massive critique of for-profit churches obviously.

If you like other Danny Mcbride stuff defintely, if you don’t then idk you might hate it. It has some very funny characters and dialogue. The last season was a bit of a drag for me but I think many fans liked it.
