You can just watch this instead.
Thought season one of The Diplomat was excellent. Itās like a gritty West Wing spinoff. Love the geopolitics. Performances are great, thereās a lot of tiny subtleties in the acting that rewards a close watch.
Iām really enjoying the fourth/final season of Superman and Lois, but boy can you see the reduced budget. Thereās a lot more story with everyone on the ground doing normal human stuff, very few superhero shenanigans outside of like WHOOSHing onto screen with super speed, whereas the earlier seasons had epic scenes and fights that felt worthy of a movie.
Cool
Coolcoolcool, just keep the good news coming tonight
Iām enjoying Vox Machina on Prime. Admittedly having played role-playing games for nigh on 40 years probably helps a fair bitā¦still, decently entertaining. Season 3 just dropped.
So uh why is Wheel of Time not more popular? I have heard roughly nothing about it and randomly stumbled onto it on prime the other night and quickly binged both season. Itās 7.2 on imdb which seems extremely low for the quality of the show.
Itās pretty damn good for a fantasy tv show. Easily as good as The Expanse and way better than LOL Rings of Power.
ETA - S3 coming early 2025
My year of peacock for $20 is about to end. Anything I need to see in the last two weeks? I havenāt watched much in months.
Just speaking for myself, I couldnāt stand season one until close to the finale, and then it was suddenly firing on all cylinders and I binged season two. Canāt wait for season three.
I was a huge fan of the books until book four when it suddenly became clear the series was a saga that would not end anytime soon. I waited and waited for the series to conclude so I could see if it would be worth my time, but since that time as a teenager I deeply fell out of love with Jordanās writing and am not sure if Iām enough of a fan of Sanderson to pick them back up instead of just reading Wikipedia.
Coherence is a must watch trippy sci-fi movie.
Thereās a LOT of Real Housewives on there.
But seriously, both seasons of The Traitors US and a couple of the international spinoffs. New Zealand is supposed to be good I think
I think most of the book readers hate the adaption. I enjoyed it, will definitely keep watching.
I started watching a religious murder detective show randomly called Grotesquerie. Itās pretty gritty with strange murder tableaus etc. A nun that drinks and swears and helps the detective. Then Travis Kelce appeared a few episodes in and I felt cheated. I think Iām done with it.
Finally finished Band of Brothers. Outstanding.
Episode 2 might be my favorite episode of TV ever.
I hate it mainly because it butchered the story. I was a big fan of the books. I think the acting is weak and the cgi is terrible. I donāt think Iām capable of having an unbiased opinion on the TV showās plot, though.
I love Sandersonās writing for what itās worth. I wish Iād discovered him sooner.
Never read the books. The cgi is sub-par and some of the acting is horrible. I just think the story is fairly good as far as a fantasy epic goes. Which probably explains why the books were/are so popular. Itās good source material done to a mediocre level. But if you donāt know the source material it turns into good, not great, entertainment.
If I was rating it, it would be like a 7.7. 7.2 on IMDB is on the very low end of what Iām willing to watch and this is not borderline for me. I thought it was pretty easily bingeable.
Also I have sympathy for TV shows having shit CGI. Too many tv shows get canceled too early. Wasting money to make the special effects slightly better is dumb imo.
Nobody Wants This is perfect low-impact fluff to put on in times like these. Adam Brody is adorbs and easy to watch. Kristen Bell needs to ease up on the Botox, but is doing what she does. Supporting cast is all good. I feel like I should be offended by all the Jewish stereotypes, but whatever.
