I am SO interested. Love the show. Heard a rumor it was going to be delayed because the last episode or two were not finished before corona hit but I guess not.
I just looked at epix first time today. Will see how it goes.
Watching Tiger King and I canât help but think the people who developed the last FarCry based the game off these people.
Anybody else watching Top Chef this season? All star contestant format looks promising so far. Prediction: Voltaggio takes it down.
Wait itâs started? Why is my Dvr not recording it!
Only watched the first 5 episodes and itâs getting dark
Re: Top Chef, I remember thinking how it was criminal that this chef didnât win their original season and I was so sure that they should have I stopped watching the show in protest of this grave injustice. True story
Finished Tiger King.
No honor amongst criminals.
Iâll throw in a plug for The Battered Bastards of Baseball on Netflix. It starts off with Portland, OR losing their AAA team and it gets replaced by an independent A club that competes against MLB farm teams. Pretty great story.
For tonightâs Party, we will be going off Netflix and onto Cinemax or TPB to watch the cult horror classic LIFEFORCE.
Directed by: Tobe Hooper (Poltergeist)
Written by: Dan OâBannon (Alien, Total Recall)
STARRING
Patrick Stewart (Excaliber, Dune, Star Trek, X-Men, Bambi 2)
Steve Railsback (Helter Skelter, In the Line of Fire, Disturbing Behavior)
Peter Firth (The Hunt for Red October, Pearl Harbor)
Frank Finlay (The Three Musketeers (1973), The Pianist, Merlin)
And making what would ultimately be her most memorable American performance is Mathilda May, who has gone on to become something of a meme for being naked virtually every second she is on screen. Pay attention to the old-school blurs every time she appears in the trailer below.
While it might seem this was a one-and-done performance by May, thatâs only if you look at American films. Mayâs work is primarily in French and made for the European market. Look there and youâll see sheâs been in more than you can count.
This one is bad (I mean REALLY bad) in a way thatâs delightful to enjoy. And @Fatboy8, you and the missus might want to watch this one. I have a feeling it might break you out of your rut.
If youâve already seen it and need a refresher, Oliver Harper offered a terrific retrospective on his terrific channel of terrific retrospectives.
If you havenât seen it, I recommend watching the trailer and otherwise going in blind. Love it or hate it, you will have a good time.
If you do not have Cinemax or TPB, Cinemax offers a free trial with this movie and much more that makes it worth $0.
Set the banner and clock for 10:00 PM EST.
EDIT: Adjusted time to 10pm.
Well, this is unfair, I bloody love Lifeforce but that is 3am for me.
Also, for anthology shows then I massively recommend âInside No. 9â. Itâs a British TV thing, half hour episodes, usually dark dramas with a twist, though written by people with a comedy background so some are comedies and always some laughs. Itâs written by people in love with old school horror / suspense TV and film.
Itâs five series in now and has been one of the best things on for years, Iâm always amazed why itâs not as well known as something like Black Mirror. Donât know how you see it in the US, but Iâm sure you can work that out if youâre interested
Nooooooo. Sorry to hear that. Watching it with a true fan would be a blast.
Ty for the recommendation. I have not heard of that one. Looks to be on Hulu (US) so I will check it out
I was planning on watching âThe Platformâ but I think the trailer has scared me off. It looks like a rough watch so I think Iâll skip it.
A bit of a grunch, but this Tiger Guy show on Netflix is crazy.
I might be the lone Tiger King hater. Bunch a aholes being aholes. Meh.
You know what they say, if you canât spot the ahole
Heard so many raves going to eventually watch tiger king but started Ozark s3 before I got on for lifeforce
I wouldnât call myself a hater but I didnât particularly enjoy it. Literally no one likable in the entire show.
Holy shit, Iâve never heard of this movie before, but it looks absolutely incredible. Was that Sir Patrick Stewart I saw? I have to see this sometime.
It is! Our viewing party has just now in fact reached his big scene.
