Looks like there’s gonna be a Tiger King 2. Personally, I can’t see a reason for a second one other than a cash grab. But it’s out on Wednesday which is a holiday in the Czech Republic. So hooray!
It’s hard to think of a single reason to leave out the most interesting character of the show.
One of the coolest things about older anime was how often prominent characters were doing work on representation before the sjw bean counters got involved.
Dunno man. I wouldn’t look at harem anime as a model of Japanese anime creators being SJWs.
Ghibli movies definitely had interest in strong female roles though.

OK OMitB ended pretty fucking bad wtf? Feels like it was really tacked on/reshot. I’ll be in for S2 though because, again, steve martin is a treasure and should have been doing this stuff forever.

I’m not at all interested. The tabloidy distraction in the heart of the first major lockdown was a welcome distraction, but there was really no payoff whatsoever in the first documentary and I don’t really care about any of those people or what happened to them next.
What payoff were you expecting? I guess everybody going to jail?

Well they’re almost all white folks so they aren’t going to jail. But good documentaries always have some payoff - the filmmaker is able to bring things together to make a point about something. Tiger King started and ended with “Look at these here rednecks ain’t they silly!” There’s just nothing there.
Dexter:
Wasn’t Dexter known to be the BHB at the end of the series? Am I misremembering? Because his son being able to track him down without ever running across that bit of information doesn’t bode well for the reasonableness of the show
If you’re looking for reasonableness in your TV shows, Dexter may not be for you.
I might be remembering it wrong but no I don’t think Dexter = BHB was a widely accepted fact. I think Laguerta was the only one to really believe it and Deb killed her. I haven’t watched the show in years and the final few seasons were so bad I try not to think about them.

Tiger King 2 had no focus at all. It was like multiple documentaries put together in one series. Probably would’ve been better off under a different name since a lot of it barely involved Joe at all. Of course, the creators wanted to capitalize off of the original. So they kept it under the original name.
That said, there’s one hell of a bombshell in the final episode. Probably enough to get a Tiger King 3 out of it some years down the road. Seems that it’ll transition into more of a true crime documentary. Could’ve done without the random groping around for something interesting in the previous 3 or 4 episodes to fatten it out.

Plus, Terry makes the show. No Terry = not watching
