The Television Streaming Thread: Now With Felonies

time to teach him about TCOS. it’s not more expensive at the store, but he’ll have to spend more to get anyone to date him in that.

It’s the Manute Bol collection.

My wife was watching that LuLaRich documentary about the leggings MLM / cult, and apparently it’s basically Dan Flashes for women.

Letterkenney season 1: i loved it. so funny, so rural canadian, just funny and different. second season still really good still enjoying the town and the characters and their interplay. i’m on season 8 and i can’t get through an episode without taking a break. the pacing and style of jokes and how they all speak in the same writer’s voice, all the things that made me love the show at first are now so grating i’ve come to hate the show. i can’t even watch it, it’s giving me a headache.

I gotta admit I didn’t think season 9 was as good but I went through a similar experience as you, I think last year we watched all 8 seasons that were out at the time in like a month.

I grunched a billion messages in this thread. Was Peaky Blinders discussed? What was the consensus? I’m in 3 episodes and I’m digging it.

Kept watching. Episodes definitely hit or miss. Waiting for some kind of plot to develop. Halfway into the season, it’s all one-offs.

Season 3 finale of What We Do In The Shadows just hit and it was damn good. Setting up for a very interesting Season 4.

I love it, always look forward to a new season.

It’s awesome

My biggest issue with Peaky Blinders is it makes me want to chain smoke and drink a bunch of whiskey.

Had never heard of this. Takes a little investment but it’s well worth it. Absolute gem.

First season of Inside Job ends with a two-parter where the most insufferable character of the show ends up becoming the CEO of the company.

So yeah, I doubt I’ll watch the second season given that my attention was fading in and out during what was supposed to be a suspensful finale. But if you want to watch a cartoon that regularly reminds you of two better cartoons (Rick and Morty, American Dad) then Inside Job is for you.

Midnight Mass

8/10

It was good. Pitch perfect casting for this, I don’t think you could get better and great acting. The first 4 episodes were amazing even if you don’t like horror.

it doesn’t quite hold up past after the turn, but it still had enough twists and turns and characterization that is pulled me through to the end

I thought it got better as it went but it was great imo

Succession is just so fucking good. Pantheon episode.

MIdnight mass ep 6-7 was one of the worst drop offs of any tv series ever imo. The main antagonist who had hundreds of minutes of screen time got like a 5 second death scene! The other big bad got a horrific “lets totally set up things for a next season if we get renewed” nonsense off camera death too. What the fuck, people who totally disappointed me in haunting of hill house.

Watched the 2020 miniseries of The Stand. I just finished the audio book so I’m biased. I also love post apocalyptic stuff for some reason.

I thought it was pretty good. A lot of Kings stuff translates into absolutely horrible movies/shows but a couple are super good. This one was in the middle. Not great but not bad.

There is some cheesy stuff which I guess can’t be helped because King had a lot of cheesy stuff in the book, which is probably a time thing since the book is like 30 years old.

Anyways it was way better than expected.

I’ve always found it interesting that King’s horror stuff is often garbage in movie/TV form, but his dramas are very good.
