George Takeki is also in one TZ episode that deals with WWII, it’s very good. Shatner was in two eps that wound up being classics, so everyone remembers his guest spots.
Yeah just finished e3 and while I’m not sure I like it (and am FF most coolidge scenes) it certainly is giving me and missus something to talk about. Holy shit Shane splashing the kids in front of Rachel crrrrrrrrrrringe.
He was just giving them shit bro, completely normal
Two episodes into Prison Break. I’ve heard nothing but great things about Season 1, but so far I’m underwhelmed. Does it get better?
Not really. You have to remember this was like a top 10 TV show at the time, we’ve come a long way since.
I think it definitely gets better. But it never gets great.
So I surmise the show is “good” on a network TV level, but doesn’t approach the HBO/Showtime level of good?
I’ll give it a couple more episodes while tempering my expectations.
Season 1 is fun FOX level TV, but it is not definitely not HBO/Showtime level. But stop after that if you make it through that far.
Obvious spoiler alert
They break out at the end of season 1
Then
Season 3 they end up right back in prison and I immediately stopped
There was some potential if they just ended it after 3 seasons, but they definitely let it drag on a season too long and yeah…
Lol. You watched all of S2? Poor bastard
Yeah I did. I actually didn’t regret until the finale. That finale was such a fucking middle finger to the viewer. Only show I’ve watched that has ever given that big of a middle finger was Heroes.
I was just about to say, I rank PB S2 just sliggghhhtly above Heroes S2 in terms of crimes against great first season shows.
Just watched the first two seasons of Doom Patrol on HBOmax. It has exceeded my expectations so far. I think it’s very good. Best comparison I can come up with is Umbrella Academy. If you liked that show you should like this. S3 starts next month.
LOL at the races showing up in Star Trek Lower Decks season 2 episode 2.
Pakleds and Tamarians (the race from the TNG episode “Darmok”.
Who knows. The original show is so strong I’m not sure why it needs adapting. But I’ll watch of course.
Live-action anime sucks but I’ll probably watch this anyway. Curious to see who they cast as Ed.
One thing that made the original show so good was that they made space for character background and growth for all the characters and not just Spike. The resolutions for Faye and Ed were arguably stronger than the end of Spikes story, even though they obviously needed to end the series on a big closure to the Spike/Vicious/Julia story that really drives the overall plot.
Somehow never watched Friday Night Lights. One episode in, I’m completely hooked.
Open hearts, closed apples
