The Television Streaming Thread: Now With Felonies

For all Mankind

Struggled wit the first couple three episodes and then really got into the rest of season 1. Really like the alternate timeline stuff.

But then just watched S2E1. Horrible acting (maybe directing to have everyone overact as some kind of point I fail to understand).

And then the solar event. Different timeline due to a continued space race I understand. Tossing in a massive solar event that didnā€™t happen (at least in 1983 best I can Google) is a bridge too far. Nfw does anything us puny humans do impacts the sun, not even chaos theory.

Gonna give us a quasi realistic alternate timeline, then stick to it terms of the hard immutable facts.

Blah blah blah, old man yelling at clouds.

You inspired me to try it. This show is trash but Iā€™m going to watch the hell out of it anyway.

White Lotus e4: um so I figured Olivia was in love with her friend but it turns out sheā€™s just a total psychopath? And like so the big end (heh) is Shane walking in on Armond having sex with a guy and heā€™s like ā€œI got you nowā€? Who gives a shit, its not 1980, whatever. Bad signs.

I think it was the fact that it was drug fueled sex with a subordinate, not the fact that it was gay sex.

Currently with my parents visiting my grandmother, so boomer TV is dominant on the single screen. Goddammit Blue Bloods sucks. How the fuck has this been on for 11 years? I guess I should be thankful that itā€™s not Tucker Carlson.

If youā€™re looking to get the manager of an extremely fancy resort in trouble with his boss, discovering him eating a bellhopā€™s ass in his office is the golden ticket.

Love Coach Taylor. Clear eyes!

Itā€™s basically the male-oriented version of Bravo programming from what I can tell.

This always reminds me that Greys Anatomy has been running for like 25 seasons or something absurd

Finally finished The Shield.

Fuck Shane. They could have cut out 2-3 seasons and made the series better but the last 6 episodes were phenomenal

Just finished all seven seasons of Veep. Was great and would highly recommend.

Other than being very funny (exquisitely raunchy in all the best ways), part of what made it so satisfying was the excellent ending to the series. Coincidentally, the series ended at the same time as GoT which is a testament to the power of horrible endings to ruin greatness.

And even though the series started in more innocent times (pre drumph), it lampoons the current political climate without ever referencing it directly or making any political statement other than Iā€™ll do whatever is necessary to win.

I donā€™t know how long the show will hold up, but it definitely does for now.

I always remember jack klugman.

Also Dennis hopper, Robert Duvall, lee Marvin, Peter falk, don rickles, Cloris leachman.

The Christmas TZ episode where Art Carney guest stars is outstanding.

Also Burgess Meredith is in one or two.

Archer is back.

Donā€™t bash the Stache.

CBS is going to go out of business once all those boomers die off.

ughhhhhhhhh rachel and shane. I mean I guess its a ā€œlogicalā€ end in a show full of terrible people to take a shit on the only non terrible (rich) person but yeah.
