John Oliver is coming out of his void next Sunday night, so I thought tonight was a great time to visit the best thing hes ever done. I was not disappointed.

The show is fairly hand holding but it is in more subtle ways like the jump cuts are basically always from characters to other versions of themselves or it’ll be a jump cut between characters but in the same location and between mother and daughter. Plus you have characters like the old long silver haired lady (Claudia) who are also trying to make sense of things and leave handy charts and maps lying around for other characters (and therefore us) to find.
Yes, the whole series is pretty great.
I haven’t rewatched it, but it’s almost certainly worthy of one.

Admittedly that was a bit trolly. But I’m a bit curious why you thought it was that great. I thought it was solid. Typical feelgood Ted Lasso stuff.
Everything, every single scene and line and shot was perfect. It completed me.

I thought the Rebecca on Bantr stuff was a bit weak. Presumably they’re laying some groundwork for the future, tho.
Reddit nerds seem to think that tedbecca is too obvious and tropey but I’m not so sure.

It was very good. One of the best episodes of TV I’ve seen this year, although I haven’t thought too much about what the other ones might be. Also effective way to cram in your rom-com story beats in 38 minutes.
They could have called it “Nil Actually,” except Love Actually wasn’t about tennis so that doesn’t really make sense.
@Trolly probably already knows this, but I just found out that Robert Redford is in an early Twilight Zone episode. It seems like people always talk about William Shatner and Billy Moomey being on the show, so how am I just learning about Redford today?
