OMG, there’s going to be a live-action Powerpuff Girls series?
I thought that it was OK at best… I thought the acting wasn’t that great and I also felt that the plot started strong kind of fell flat. I also found the cinematography amateurish, although it seems like it was a stylistic choice. Nevertheless I made it through the whole thing. I was mostly entertained, I guess. Overall 6/10.
Started ok then fell off a cliff for me, couldn’t wait to be done. Would pass.
Chad (TBS)
Just watched the first episode. Pretty fucking funny show.
well, the MCU has officially put out the darkest thing I’ve ever seen from the entire IP (excluding the Netflix shows). Episode 4 of Falcon and Winter Soldier is some kind of shocking at the end.
He’s really the perfect embodiment of America when you think about it. All that’s left is for him to waterboard someone for information on Zemo and then kill him with a drone strike.
Oh man, none of you mentioned that Netflix has a Lucha Libre documentary series.
Is it a sign that something is wrong with me if I wasn’t shocked by the ending?
If Tony Stark had killed Bucky, would he still have his head?
Whats weird to me is how Steve is always referenced as long dead when he’s just chilling somewhere doing olds stuff right? But yeah no way there’ll be a Cap at the end of this show. Shield probably gets buried with Steve or something.
That one scene made me think that there’s probably a market for kiddie mukbang.
Finished Picard S1 last week and am halfway through S1 of Discovery. I enjoy both.
Exact same boat. Would never think of watching an entire F1 race, but being able to follow the entire season through a well-produced documentary series is enjoyable. I do the same with soccer (see the Sunderland documentary series on Netflix and the All or Nothing series on Amazon Prime).
yea I didn’t find it shocking
I don’t think the fact that it happened is shocking. I mean, I think everyone knew Walker was going break bad at some point.
The way it happened was what was well beyond what the MCU has done before. Not to mention the imagery of the final shot. Pretty meaningful.
What is more symbolic of America today? Cap’s Shield? Or Cap’s shield with blood all over it having just been used to brutally murder a man in broad daylight?
Honestly, I don’t think they can give the shield to anyone now.
Marvel aping The Boys is an odd development.
I don’t mind it going in that direction. The moment might have been more impactful for me if I hadn’t watched The Boys.
Not shocked by The Peanut Butter Falcon and the Winter Snowman, but struggling with all the sloppy writing and bad exposition. People really need to stop explaining things to one another that they both already clearly know. And then there’s this:
No! Bad writer! ffs, just say she died in Riga. I’m pretty sure Buckminster already knows where it is, and there are approximately zero other people in the world who will benefit from the additional description. Like Billy McPublicskoolz is thinking, “Riga? Where’s that? Oh, it’s by the Baltic Sea. That explains everything.”
John Walker was a Marvel character conceived in the late 80s. They were way ahead of the Boys on this stuff.
That late 80s Cap run was overtly political. There were side kicks called Right Winger and Left Winger.
Wow The Serpent is really good and crazy as hell. Can’t believe with how popular serial killer shit has become this one hasn’t blow up before now.
I always find it crazy that some sociopaths are just so god damned charming and manipulative that they’re capable of making beautiful women not only fall in love with them but be so unbelievably loyal no matter what they do.
These people could easily lead an incredible life with no crime, but they just can’t help themselves. Most people like them end up as CEOs instead.
Yea I hate when writers do that too. That was my biggest pet peeve about Big Bang Theory.
