Even though I star in Cobra Kai, I just finally got around to watching it. On Season 2 right now. What I can say about this show is that they take karate REALLY seriously in that town. I mean:
Kreese comes back and is basically like, āYou and meā¦weāre gonna rule the world with teenage karate students.ā
Just bought a ticket to Mike Birbigliaās āWorldwide Pizza Partyā comedy show via Zoom for Sunday night. Iāve never done any of these virtual show things, so Iām looking forward to it.
Oh, please review. He has some of the most unique comedy shows out there. The New One is much more like a one man show than a stand up special. He is incredibly talented.
Gonna have to watch this. Iāve steered clear because R&M S4 wasnt really my cup of tea, and Iāve gotten a bit tired of the schtick and expected more of the same here. But I trust your judgement and will have to check it out.
Speaking of people whoās media judgement I trust, I really miss Risky. I hope he is ok. I know one of the things he was doing was stepping away from forums/social media for a while so I hope thatās the only reason we havent heard from him lately.
Those whole KK premise is based on the idea you have this huge arena of people who come out to watch high-school kids do full-contact karate fighting with each other and thatās supposed to be a totally normal thing that happens in America. I remember even when I was a kid that seemed a bit off.
s2e3 was a direct rip off of āthe vat of acid episodeā except that they couldnāt attract Idris Elba or Signourney Weaver to play themselves for 5 lines.
I liked episode 2 of Falcon and Winter Soldier better than the first episode. They are not subtle with the racism theme at all. This time a cop was racist. Who will be racist in episode 3?
The truly interesting scene was right before that, with Isaiah Bradley. They are taking from a discontinued/out of print comic line that was Marvelās take on the Tuskegee experiments.
I am just 12 minutes into the āSeaspiracyā documentary on netflix and I already want to nuke Japan. Lets see how tough to swallow the whole piece gets.
Edit: So the documentary took quite a turn to all fishery is bad or has a devastating influence on the oceans. I already knew that the EU is plundering Africaās fishing grounds. Basically all the labels seem to be useless as well. Anything else is probably better in the environment thread.
