thanks, i had this on my list
In And Of Itself is good but ârapturousâ is really pushing it imo.
Just started watching The Morning Show with Aunty Climax and itâs better than I expected with some strong stuff from Billy Crudup as a network exec.
We tried but the show is not inclusive of just UP
The Little Things was astonishingly bad.
lol, it was solid until someone made a really poor decision and the movie disintegrated.
New season of Batwoman is killing it. Ryan Wilder is the Batwoman we need.
I thought it was terrible from the beginning. IDK maybe just me, but the only suspense I found was in questioning whether Denzel was an unreliable narrator and weâd find out he was the real serial killer and has been framing people as his cover, much like in what I consider to be the canonical fan theory that Jessica Fletcher in Murder She Wrote is secretly gaslighting survivors into believing they must have been the murderer after all.
Thought S2E1 was hella awkward, Iâve been meaning to give the next few episodes a watch.
I hope you like it. I felt like the first episode was sort-of awkward as a holdover to the unexpected transition to a new lead character. But also I wasnât a fan of season one and had to try to see this as something new.
Maybe I just like Javicia/Ryan, but theyâve somehow managed to make references to season one in a way that adds retroactive value, whereas previously I found the first season to be nigh unwatchable.
Remember reading a long article on that some years back that made me think there was a chance Bamber wasnât guilty, though that was one article and I donât think itâs a widely held opinion. Take it the TV show doesnât follow that theory?
I watched this film once in my uni days and itâs stuck with me ever since. Amazing film but not one I could watch again.
ETA ffs i have to start checking the dates of the posts Iâm replying to!
Iâm on Ep 4 and itâs getting better. Theyâve decided to re-do her origin story, which is okay because her first origin story was kinda lame. Batmobile needs some kind of flair, it looks too much like a regular sportscar. Fight choreography needs work; this was the one thing Ruby Rose was really good at. Alice still worth the price of admission, literally chewing the scenery and eating houseplants, lol.
Alice is great! And I like her now being in the dark about Batwoman.
Also loving Hush/fake Batman. I hope that guy suits up!
Somehow Iâm watching youtoob on my TV while working from home and Iâve stumbled across old episodes of Dr. Katz Professional Therapist while watching Drilâs video podcast and they still hold up quite well after all these years. I either never realized or forgot that H. Jon Benjamin is the guy who voiced his son Ben, youâll remember Benjamin as the voice of That Guy in Every Animated Show. I guess thatâs the first thing I ever heard him on, at least itâs the oldest thing I can recall. Some of the comics definitely arenât around now. Some have gone on to much much bigger things. Some of the references are hilariously outdated but again the jokes hold up well.
I think that was Jon Benjaminâs first major role, followed by Coach McGuirk from Hime Movies
cartoon network app had a rerun/marathon of home movies and it was everything we hoped it would be.
Itâs so good
No release date, but I will be watching this when it comes out
Love Dr. Katz and Home Movies too. McGuirk is really one of the most indelible TV characters of the 21st century. Home Movies (and most of the Adult Swim stuff) is available on HBO Max now.
Apparently Bouchard did a kids show called Science Court, which I havenât seen but is on YouTube now.
Iâve decided that itâs finally time for me to watch the various Marvel movies. We decided to go in roughly chronological order (in-universe timeline based on some random internet list, not release date). So far weâve watched Capt America, Capt Marvel, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and are finishing Thor tonight.
Thoughts from someone who is vaguely aware of the universe and hasnât seen any of these movies: pretty entertaining so far and Iâm legit looking forward to plowing through all of them.
I do lament that I wonât get the same excitement people got from the post-credit scenes/teasers in theaters but itâs still pretty cool.
