Argh. I want to love this, but I can’t get into almost everything Burton touches.
Nevertheless, sounds too cool not to give it a shot. Wednesday as a student at Nevermore Academy is the premise we deserve.

OK we just paid $4 to watch The Incredible Hulk on Amazon prime since it wasn’t on disney and that was fucking awful. Jesus what a terrible movie.
Which one?
And yeah, Banner doesnt get good til The Avengers and to a larger extent Thor Rangnarok
2008, Edward Norton
Oh, lol. No
Dont watch that one. It may be Marvel canon but I dont consider non-Ruffalo Hulks to be real.
Sounds like Marvel just recently got the rights to Hulk back from Universal, so it will be interesting to see if they pen a standalone Hulk movie
This is me. Wednesday is an amazing character and while not the best part of the first Addams Family movie is far and away the best part of the second.
And yet, I’ve hated everything Tim Burton has done post Batman 89, so I cant imagine this being good.
On top of that, who in the hell are they going to cast that can even come close to topping Ricci.
If they cast her as Morticia though…
I could be wrong, I don’t think that one counts as part of the “official” set of MCU Marvel movies or whatever.
Honestly, he’s not even good then. They’ve never known what to do with the Hulk character, despite him being a classic id vs ego archetype. He doesn’t get his own movie and his only great moment is “Actually, I’m angry all the time.” What? No you’re not. That’s the whole goddamn point of The Hulk: he’s uncontrollably angry sometimes and othertimes not so much. That’s what makes him interesting. Gets even worse in Endgame when they let him be the Hulk and a science guy at the same time; there’s nothing at all fun about that guy. idk why a boring-ass character like Thor gets three movies and Hulk gets zero.
Feels like a cash grab. I’d watch Tim Burton doing a girl detective show with an original Burton character instead of just recycling whatever IP Disney has on hand.
hokie, there’s a reason it isn’t in the Disney+ ouevre. Incredible Hulk is so bad. Not quite as bad as Hulk, but pretty bad.
Trolly is tripping with this talk about Hulk being terrible in Ragnarok and Endgame. Smart Hulk was a great comics reference!
Jennifer Connelly was in Hulk so QED it can’t be bad
I just watched this. Thanks for the recommendation. Thoroughly enjoyable and fascinating.
Hopefully this is because you lost a bet.
I just finished The Morning Show and enjoyed it more than I thought I might. I agree Crudup was really good.
I am about to take the marvel dive as well. I think the only ones I have seen are the three Ironman movies and Dr. Whosywhatsit.
I know have seen a nausea inducing number of guides telling you what order to go in so I might try to locate one of those unless someone here pipes up with a good order.
I don’t need to see every movie but I could. Of course I could get an hour into this and abandon it as well. Super Hero movies pre marvel and marvel have never been my thing.
Haha no, but my gf enjoys them so once I mentioned the idea in passing she seized on it and encouraged it. Like Marksman I’ve never really been a superhero movies person (though I really enjoyed The Boys). Prior to this I had only seen Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Thanos movie.
We went with one of the first links we saw after Googling. I believe Disney+ has them lined up in chronological order in their app too, though can’t personally confirm. After leaving Disney+ to watch The Incredible Hulk I can tell you with confidence that you do not need to do that. Just plow through the Disney movies.
Some of the comics on Katz man oh man! Marc Maron’s episode was really funny. Ray Romano did a bunch of them before he got his TV show and became a megastar. Also, I found out yesterday that a joke I’ve been telling for years (about how I burst into flames whenever I go to the beach because I’m so pale) I apparently stole from Louis CK on this very show because I heard it yesterday during his episode. This would have been 95 or 96 I guess. Also I never knew that the bored secretary Laura is actually Laura Silverman, Sarah’s sister. Also apparently Tom Kenney did a bunch of work on the show as well. I still haven’t placed the bartender or the guy at the bar where Katz hangs out sometimes after work, but I feel like I should know them too.
She is good.
And Tim Roth is also good.
There are a few great sequences.
But the movie as a whole is Not Good.
The Kenan pilot was really good.
It’s about time he got another gig, he’s just too talented to keep carrying SNL. But I guess he’s still gonna carry SNL?
Old news but still delicious.
I’ve tried to watch Game of Thrones again but can’t bring myself to watch a single episode knowing how disappointing the later seasons turned out to be.
