I finished Bridgerton. I found the first half actually quite entertaining. The latter half had too much drama for my taste.
Anyone watched Lupin and can recommend? I read its part 1 which makes me not want to watch it before part 2 is released or is part 1 watchable on its own?
There are a few posts about Lupin ITT. Part 1 is good but there are season long arcs, so itās up to you whether you want wait for the full season or just watch whatās released so far.
Anybody here watch Midnight Diner on Netflix? Its the kind of show I love but I can see how others would fine it boring (its a lot of slice of life style with a structure much like a play with most of the show taking place in the diner).

Ok I have done the whole first season of Fortitude on prime. Fairly satisfied with the arc. Michael Gambon and Stanley Tucci bantering well with the view.
Iāve only watched 2 seasons but I love it. Obviously donāt watch if violence and hateful people arenāt your thing.
Anyone been watching Difficult People?
Oh, damn, I didnāt know he was still alive. Bruno has been dead for like 15 years.
After two episodes, I am not turned off by Javicia Leslie taking over the mantle of Batwoman. Weāll see if a CW show can do a good job of tackling the racial issues which seem to be promised as an ongoing concern. I certainly hope they take a lighter tone to distance itself from Ruby Roseās character. Iām not sure if they will succeed, but I think they did a good job of trying to move on from the sudden cast change.
Iāll have to give this show a shot. I wanted the character to succeed but I just couldnāt get into Ruby Roseās version of it.
I think Ruby Rose was a limited actress, but there was a way to write that character to cater to her strengths and limit her weaknesses. Leslie seems like a more capable thespian who can be given a character with more emotion. Itās still the Arrowverse on the CW, so thereās a lot of ways they can fail, but I think they have a shot of being in the situation where a likable actress plays a likable character well enough for fans will sit through some bad stuff because the good moments are very enjoyable.
I think the big tension is going to be whether (and how quickly) they let NewBat drive her own stories versus trying to shoehorn her in to the preexisting storylines. Alice, PopCop, Sophie, etc. are all important characters now, so you canāt just abandon them, but theyād also be very different characters with different storylines if S1 didnāt exist (or if they didnāt have to completely write out Ruby Rose so quickly), so itāll be interesting to see how they build out the plot from here.
They established that she had previous links to Alice and Sophie, which give Ryan different relationships with them than with Kate, and I think they did a good job of not making those feel too forced. Sure, it seems highly coincidental that she just happens to have ties to those two, but they are due to events that totally make sense for those characters. I can also see Big Daddy Kane going from anti-Batwoman to being against the unworthy imposter who is besmirching the secret legacy of his daughter, over-compensating due to guilt.
Is Alice still in the show? Now that was an outstanding character/actress to watch.
I agree with your analysis, I guess I just thought some of the new relationships felt a little too coincidentalā¦ At any rate, Iām along for the ride at least a little while longer to see where they take it.
Still in the show, still GOATING (in show adjusted terms)
