Oh definitely! I guess originally SNL had booked some random country singer, but had to dismiss him because he broke COVID protocols. Jack White came in at the last minute and proceeded to burn the entire studio down.
I’m the first to pick on drummers but unless you point something out I dunno bro.
I’m not talking about his technique. It sounds like he’s playing on cardboard boxes and tin cans. I dunno. I’m high af. Maybe you’re right.
I am mildly annoyed that so many people are experiencing Utopia as an at-best mediocre sci-fi series. The basic plot of the show isn’t all that interesting. There’s not much there worth remaking. What made the UK show great was the production - the cinematography, the hyper-saturated palette, the score. If you’re not getting those things you’re not getting any of the stuff that made the show worth watching in the first place.
Maybe I’m drunk. I’ve made fun of drummers a lot though and I dunno man. Maybe it’s the sound you are listening on? I heard some definite pop in that snare and some audio dynamics wrt to high and low volume sounds. They aren’t my fav band or anything so whatever lol.
Burr was not good. I’ve enjoyed his stuff in general, but he sounded like he was trying way too hard to be edgy and every joke fell flat. It just wasn’t funny.
So I’ve watched every episode of Dicktown twice and I can safely say it’s basically one of the greatest TV show ever. Maybe I, Claudius is #1, and Breaking Bad is #2, but Dicktown is definitely there in the #3 spot.
I look forward to embracing this as my own position (as soon as I see the UK version)

I finished Utopia this weekend. It is almost criminal this isn’t better known. I don’t think I have seen a better British series
The show isn’t based off of a comic book or a book, they just have a comic book in the plot.
