Did you see the remake? I’m praying not. It would be a tragedy to see that one first, though you’d at least have a shot at liking the remake. It’s terrible if you’ve already seen the very excellent original.

I’m halfway through this. I was expecting it to be more of a cozy murder mystery. It’s kinda like that but really it’s more of a suspense thriller. The mystery elements are badly telegraphed, but the suspense elements are competently done, plus the woman is pretty hot, so I’m enjoying it.
Saw the first episode of El Dragón and it looks pretty great. It’s a telenovella about a rich kid whose parents are murdered so then he goes to Japan to do some samurai training and then he comes back to take over his ailing grandfather’s narco business and also he has a hot girlfriend. This is all very much in my wheelhouse.

Started watching I, Claudius with the accompanying podcast and holy shit Brian Blessed rules. The whole time I’m just thinking of him as king richard in blackadder. In a good way. A really good way!

watching hostiles this morning, never seen it but it was tucked way down in netflix lists for some reason
lmao, i read the first of the books early this year and was kind of unimpressed. I liked the overall story/world i guess but just didn’t find it that engaging.
