Holy shit, thats great. They are running “A Talking Cat?!” right now, and the running Cheese Puffs gag is fucking slaying me.
OMG “A Talking Cat !?!” is so amazing.
BAHAHAHA, The fucking cat wrapped in gauze.
Yeah that one was A+
WTF that movie.
Did have some good cheese puffs today for Thanksgiving.
omg those ending credits
If y’all liked A Talking Cat ?!? you might also like Santa’s Summer House, which is set in the same house and features the martial arts star Cynthia Rothrock. She doesn’t do any martial arts in the movie, she’s jsut there as Santa’s wife or whatever.
I watched The Report on Amazon Prime this morning. Very good movie, great cast. It’s about writing the torturer report on the CIA shenanigans. I think the wife from The Affair, Maura Tierney, is supposed to be former CIA torture lady and current CIA director Gina Haspel. If that’s who she was going for, good job, totally dead eyed and flat, playing her as a complete sociopath. Not sure why they didn’t cast her specifically, they did everyone else. Probably afraid of getting assassinated or something. Fair.
Lead guy is Adam Driver, he’s terrific as always. Very good supporting cast as well, recognizable actors popping up all over the place in bit parts. Highly recommended.
I also highly recommend reading the one star reviews of the film. lol.
As the already endlessly protracted Marvel Cinematic or Non-Cinematic Universe debate continues to ebb and flow, Scorsese has already tirelessly moved on to his next project. Based on “Killers of the Flower Moon,” David Grann’s true-crime book about a series of murders in 1920s Osage County, Okla., the film will find him back at a traditional studio, Paramount. It’s likely to stir up fresh excitement, as well as fresh opportunities for argument and anger. The hard work of sorting out this director’s brilliant, complicated legacy remains unfinished. The filmmaking — and the risk taking — continue.
This is going to be good. The book was really good
Keeping up with my binging of HBO before I cancel my subscription. Silicon Valley, A+ comedy, best comedy in a while.
Mrs Fletcher, I liked the main lead in other stuff she’s done but it’s such a dud. Somehow her son’s dating life in college is more interesting than anything else in the show so that’s where it’s at.
Nice. Dont cancel just yet. Only two episodes of Silicon Valley left.
Absolutely loving The Irishman, but the one thing that bugs me is that he’s clearly not Irish at all. Don’t tell me that you can put some CGI blue eyes on De Niro’s quintessentially Italian features and expect us to go along with it.
Anyway, this movie rules school. The chemistry between DeNiro and Pecsi and Scorsese has been slow-cooked to perfection over the course of decades. No one can bring it like that.
Have you guys checked out The King? me likey, good writing, great lead.
I have another dank nug from the Disney+ vault: it is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Hot Take: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is one of the top 5 best submarine movies ever.
Thermonuclear Take: the movie is better than the book.
Honestly, this movie is amazing. Visual effects are top notch for it’s era; you can watch this in 2019 and still be amazed. Sets and props are so rich. Casting is spot-on, the guy who plays Captain Nemo kills it. And Claude Rains is in it! Who doesn’t love Claude Rains’s sad, puppy-dog eyes?
This was high-concept science fiction with exceptional production values and a very subversive anti-war message to boot.
Want a real deep Disney+ cut?
The Disney Channel original movie Brink!
Did you love Aiborne? Well youre gonna love the exact same movie played by 13 year olds instead of late high schoolers.
Honestly, I havent watched it yet but I did back when I was young and really enjoyed it. Gonna see if it holds even the slightest bit tomorrow.
Watched A Goofy Movie with my son today. That movie really holds up and is great for the middle school age group. Its crazy having seen it around then and again now as a father of a kid in that age group.
Brink!!!
Brink was my intro to intentionally watching bad movies with a group
Brink has a 7.1 on IMDB
Holy shit that has be ironic votes
Watching RiffTrax on Twitch but there’s ads like every 5 minutes. Super annoying.
Binging season 2 of Lodge 49 on demand but it’s also on Hulu. Best show I’ve seen in ages. Has some Lost vibe but is also a general social satire and endearing story of misfits associated with an elks-like lodge in Long Beach.
If you haven’t heard of it, watch the first two episodes of s2. I don’t watch much TV because most isn’t good, but this is very good.
Paul giamotti is executive producer and plays a writer in some episodes. Unfortunately it was cancelled after the recent end of s2. Giamotti criticized AMC for that, though it’s numbers have been bad, and they are shopping it to streaming networks. Even if there are no more episodes everyone should watch it. S2 is 100% on RT.
Bow.
Lower.
Lower.
LOWER!
…
Dear Lord do not show that one to children.
Lodge 49 is great I just think most people didn’t know about it. I only stumbled on to it on a flight and was hooked instantly. Terrible that it got canceled.
