Idk if anyone is watching the final season of Mr. Robot, but I just caught up and wow this has been excellent so far. I know Esmail takes a lot of abuse for not being as clever as he thinks he is, but most of the episodes this season have been really really good. This “silent” episode a couple of weeks ago and last night’s “play” have just been awesome.

The Crown, Season 3 is off to a strong start. LBJ! And it’s legitimately informative for me historically.

I’m planning on binging this whenever it’s over. Probably not going to rewatch the previous episodes, but I’ll have to read a refresher for sure first.
They made a “previously on” before the start of this season that went back to the beginning that was also really good.
I really like the way Netflix does this with their series. Its almost always a pretty good recap

I know I’ve talked about this before, but The Sign Of Zorro on Disney+ really is a great unironic watch if you love old-timey swashbuckling movies or classic Westerns. Eight years before Adam West became Batman we had an OG Hispanic superhero in Pueblo de los Ángeles and white audiences in the 1950’s were totally on board with it. Guy Williams is incredibly charismatic, the character actors are goofy and wonderful, it’s one of those movies where Hispanic people are all played by white dudes and that’s not cool, but there seems to be a legit effort to take the culture seriously.

Me starting Sucession: Maybe “billionaires shouldn’t exist” is a bit too harsh
Me going through season 2: 100% tax over on all fortunes over 5 million dollars. Liberal, conservative, all billionaires are terrible.

Chernobyl: Great miniseries. Jared Harris and Stellan Skarsgård are great character actions and the series is short and packed full and ends without any lulls. They even manage to make the technical reasons why the reactor exploded simple, easy to follow, and tense.

This week’s Mr. Robot delivered again. In a show full of brilliant characters, Dom put herself near the top of the list with a wild play involving a character that we may have only seen once this season (and was in an email she received during the silent episode).
The question of whether or not we’d see Mr. Robot again was answered but it felt like the weakest point in another otherwise very solid episode.
The Queens Museum is pretty great, btw.
I watched the first season of Man in the High Castle when it came out a few years ago, haven’t seen any of it since. Decided to pick it back up, this time with the gf in tow (her first time). Forgot how much I enjoyed the first season. Worth carrying all the way through?
Roman should get an exemption from this. Also GREG EGG.

I’m a little bummed that MST3k got cancelled again. The reboot didn’t have all the charm of the original, but there were some bangers. Fortunately, I’ve still got Rifftrax to supply my fix.

Damn it I enjoyed it a lot.
This is heresy, but I’ll allow it. If you’re an MST3k fan who hasn’t gotten into Rifftrax yet, I highly recommend it, Guy From Harlem is an absolute masterpiece of the genre.
Also, there’s a strong chance Hulu or some other service picks up the show. Joel has been shown the door once or twice before and he’s always come back.
