THE Super Tuesday Mega-Gameday Sweat

This sort of thing (reducing complex numbers into a prediction) is what 538 is good at though, as soon as there are any judgement calls required, they’re a disaster area.

Nahh, decent quant who happens to be a neolib shitlord

Pick your Super Tuesday coverage drinking cue based on desired outcome:

“Joe Biden” - death
“Bernie Sanders” - coma
“Mike Bloomberg” - drunk
“Elizabeth Warren” - pleasant buzz
“Tulsi Gabbard” - safe for non drinkers

Is it against UP rules to wish death on someone? Also, if this is the case, do we get a one-time exemption? Asking for a friend.

Is she related to the guy who runs The Rubin Report?

I’m going to bed. I guess as one piece of solace if things go bad, Bernie is absolutely crushing it among young people. That is clearly based on policy rather than an infatuation with an individual coughPetecough and it’s not going away. The question is not whether the US is eventually going social democratic, that shit is happening. The question is whether it will matter in a world fully succumbing to climate change.

Came here to post this

My numbers are from Betfair, where Hillary is 2%.

His point that polls after a major event like the SC primary should be weighted more heavily than if there hadn’t been a major event isn’t without merit.

Likely what happened is a bunch of “moderates” were looking for some ray of hope that they could get behind someone to stop the scary socialist, got that, are going to vote Biden now, then stay home in 8 months because something something Burisma Hunter Biden crooked Joe.

Seeing so many usually smart and educated people voting for Warren because “nothing has been decided yet” and my lawnmower is orbiting Pluto.

It’s bizarre how close this all feels to never trumpers during the republican primary. The establishment is doing everything possible to circumvent a grassroots candidate. Hopefully Bernie pulls off a trump in this one rare case! :grinning:

Nothing has been decided yet.

This place is taking on a mean and gloomy vibe.

It’s just unfathomable to me how people can’t see Bernie would be by far the most electable Dem in the field. Biden will be 2016 all over again. He is Hillary

They do see that, it perfectly explains their behavior. DemE is not interested in winning this election.

Biden’s worse than Hillary, she wasn’t showing signs of senility.

It’s 100% because the American dream and obsession with “freedom” is pounded into people from birth and any idea that smells of socialism is treated as anti-American. The right has won this messaging war and even the left falls victim to these cancerous ideas all the time.

They weren’t fooled by the right. The “Left” got taken over by socially progressive neocon laissez-faire millionaires who feel the same way.
