I feel like setting it up before being arrested or charged precludes B
Ok Iām reading ājustified with the norms of US police behaviorā. Not justified ethically, but as a standard of procedure. I believe we all agree here that itās not ārightā. But also canāt shrug our shoulders with anything along the lines of āthatās the way it isā
Anyhow
My point is about how any would react to police apparently pointed weapons in the area you know where your children are.
Huh? Do you mean the opposite of what you said?
Says here she needs a defense team AND a new computer. Dig deep, brothers and sisters, dig deep.
I only have experience with search warrants executed by FBI agents for non-violent white collar crimes, but have never heard of them drawing their guns.
Assuming you are actually trying your best to get evidence when executing the search warrant, you have two goals (1) get the documents and (2) get the witness to talk. Drawing your guns makes (2) pretty much impossible.
Possibilities are that the FL cops are just idiots, or they were trying to intimidate her, rather than actually conduct an investigation.
As far as I can tell this was set up after her arrest? Also predicted in advance I think by @bobman0330, not that he needed to flex his Nostradamus muscles too much for that one.
No one is saying itās OK. Heās saying that she is apparently just getting the standard FL cop treatment. Itās not OK, but itās (probably) standard. It shows a problem with how policing is done rather than anything specific about Jones.
I guess if you need a different attorney from your divorce attorney or the one who got you off of charges for stalking, harassment and revenge porn the Florida legal pool isnāt too deep.
Being as charitable as possible, the only reason I can think of for the guns is if the idea is to stop someone in the process of destroying evidence. But even then, I donāt know why you would lead with the guns when you knock on the door.
I just pray her target of $150,000 is enough for the team of lawyers required to defend a case this complex and multifaceted.
So itās cool to get a warrant and break down the door and shoot someone flushing drugs or evidence down the toilet? Itās absurd they had guns drawn in this situation. I guess they were worried she was going to bleach the hard drives.
No itās not cool. Try reading what I wrote again.
Isnāt the cop thread somewhere else?
This is definitely better suited for that thread than this one.
Sorry I read that wrong I thought you were defending the cops actions.
Iām sorry here Dan, the true evil is the outspoken woman in this scenario who, at worst, sent a spam message to other people in Floridaās government urging them to tell the truth.
I assume ponied at an article that clarifies how the breach happened, but lol at anyone calling this āhackingā when all she did was use the credentials that are literally the same for every employee regardless of turnover. She got fired and no one changed the login info.
The text message was sent from the ESF-8 mail account to 1,750 recipients before the software vendor could stop the message from being transmitted further, the affidavit said.
The ESF-8 account is the stateās emergency support function for public health and medical services and is used by many people from several agencies, including DOH and Emergency Management.āOnce they are no longer associated with ESF-8 they are no longer authorized to access the multi-user group,ā the FDLE affidavit said. All authorized users use the same user name and password.
The fucking horror. This is a crime that cannot go unpunished!
Its a grifting stunt that if done by any right winger would have 100% of this forum rolling their eyes.
