Sucks and I hope he’s able to heal up and come back soonish.

Reportedly, diverticulitis.

Great shot my wife got of Mox before his match last night at Battle in the Valley. She also got a great video of him getting misted and thrown through a table I’ll have to have her send me.

We took some friends to this show so it’s going to be hard to top if we go to any other wrestling events with them.

Didn’t see that coming, wonder if he’s headed to AEW or WWE.

Pretty sure there were rumors a month or so ago that he was interested in going to AEW or WWE.

Damn. That’s gotta be a candidate for biggest departure in wrestling history.

Not sure how NJPW recovers from this. Losing Jay White and Will Ospreay is bad enough, but now the guy who has been the face of the company for like a decade? Yikes. Better start pushing those Musketeer dudes and the War Dogs ASAP.

There was also a lot of talk about him not wanting to leave Japan but clearly he’s fine with it. Or TK is letting him live in Japan and fly in for shows like Ospreay and PAC live in the UK.

Same deal as Saudi paid for 2 shows a year.

Does that mean that they are done with USA or will they still broadcast through cable as well as stream through Netflix?

I’m not super up on the behind the scenes business stuff, but this came out of nowhere, right?

Netflix will be the exclusive home for Raw in the US, Canada, UK, and Latin America. Premium Live Events also on Netflix. Smackdown on USA. NXT on the CW.

I don’t think anyone mentioned Raw possibly going to Netflix, but I did see speculation about Amazon and Disney, so Raw on a streaming service wasn’t completely unexpected.

Wow, I thought their Peacock deal lasted longer than this

For US viewers, I believe PLE’s remain on Peacock through March 2026. For ex-US viewers, I believe they move to Netflix. The sentence I’ve seen in many write-ups about the deal was worded very poorly:

As part of the deal, Netflix will also become the home for all WWE shows and specials outside the US, inclusive of Raw and WWE’s other weekly shows – SmackDown and NXT – as well as the company’s Premium Live Events, including WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble.

“Outside the US” probably should have led that sentence.

I’m not surprised about a different streaming service, but Amazon and Disney have a history of broadcasting live events.

Netflix doesn’t at all.

I didn’t watch, but I think they broadcast the Chris Rock comedy special live last year or whenever it was. So I don’t think broadcasting a WWE live event will be a first for live-streaming an event.

Starting to think this Vince McMahon character might be a piece of shit.
