I mean they at least have a democratic governor so it’ll be a fight. Those are up in 2022, along with PA, and maybe MI? If republicans win those governorships democrats are drawing dead in 2022.

Trump really is the problem. If Rs nominate anyone else, probably even including the Zodiac Killer, then Rs crush straight up and don’t even have to even get into this nonsense.
They’re just so gutless. They could have easily nuked him after the insurrection.
Trump did two things that will be a godsend for Rs if they can just get rid of his toxic personality 1) got rid of horribly unpopular positions on SS/Medicare, etc. 2) moved the Overton window so far right on racism/sexism/etc that R dogwhistles of old will be a welcome relief for moderates. And actually one more, no more nation building/forever wars (feel free to drop all the bombs on “terrorists” you want though!)
He threatened to go 3rd party… the response should have been then we will do everything we can to get the DOJ to sike the hounds on you and your family.
