thatâs just short-sighted billionaire-brain. yeah they save some capital gains, but more public investment would arguably create trillion dollar economic value, which the same corporations can/will disproportionally benefit from. a true honest entrepreneur would definitely see opportunities.
and if they were corrupt, and wanted to embezzle a chunk of BBB as govât contracts, they would support a higher number than $1.75T, right? thatâs what true corrupt state-capitalists like putin and cheney do when in power.
but by being against a higher bill, they are really just revealing themselves as rent-seeking monopolistic âlibertariansâ, who have/want much greater ownership than the common man, and are willing to forego technological/ecological/societal change and greater future wealth for the sake of staying among the elite and in power.
Yeah as a card carrying incrementalist I am on team burn it down here as well.

itâs about the same as the 2017 tax cut.
obamacare was a bit different. its costs were offsetting expenditures in other areas. it collects less taxes than $50B/year, and total cost (with borrowing) was estimated as $938B over 10 years, but it produced $200B savings per year as well, and reduced deficit down by ~$150B.
