The Presidency of Donald J. Trump v5.0: ORANGE Gettin' PEACHed, Nation Goes PEANUT BUTTER & BANANAS

She was quoting Rep Lee Zeldin from the dumb video attached to her tweet.

Here’s a picture of the 3,000 students at the meeting Trump is blabbing about.

No, the 3,000 students were outside because they chose a venue that seats ~500.

It’s just like how Trump holds rallies in 7,000 seat arenas and can’t fill all the seats then talks about the tens of thousands of people waiting outside wishing they could be there.

Hmm I was thinking the opposite, I mean it’s been almost three full years now. I know not everybody even gets regular cost of living raises these days, but even with irregular ones, a two income family should often be able to hit that in three years, shouldn’t they?

Also have to look at methodology I guess. The phrasing is a little weird, obviously they aren’t just looking at families right at the median income, it’s probably the median of all income increases, which could always be skewed.

this doesn’t seem like a great tweet, particularly alongside another thread about violent language on here?

Oh I was looking at it wrong. I thought it was $5k per person.

Median and average are two different things so the tweet is gibberish on its face and wants ignoring regardless of provenance.

Not sure where he’s getting his numbers, but the numbers here are not that far off: Median Family Income in the United States (MEFAINUSA646N) | FRED | St. Louis Fed

Of course, the numbers only go to 2018, which would be the first fiscal year that TRUMP’s “policies” would have a significant effect. Looking at the real dollar family income, it appears to have flattened out: Real Median Household Income in the United States (MEHOINUSA672N) | FRED | St. Louis Fed

Well yeah it’s Trump cherry-picking shit so ignore it anyway. But they do generally use median with income stats, so that Gates/Buffett types don’t skew it insanely (like the mean income would be $250k which is silly).

Yeah and as Loden says, it’s probably a wash when compared to inflation so it’s whatever. “Median-income families’ quality of life isn’t getting worse, great success!!”

I’m going to guess his asshole.

They’d never do that bc they think the drunk woman deserves it

So 18 hours later I guess the answer is “lie about there not being quid pro quo despite overwhelming evidence”?

Can’t be quid pro quo if the other party doesn’t know you’re withholding something from them.
