The Presidency of Donald J. Trump v5.0: ORANGE Gettin' PEACHed, Nation Goes PEANUT BUTTER & BANANAS

You can get raw whole milk at the store these days unless you’re in a super rural area, but in that case you or your neighbor probably have your own cow. Words cannot describe how much more delicious it is than normal milk. You will instantly taste the difference.

Mexican Coke is good but I don’t like to support the cartel wars because they make the prices higher and innocent people are being murdered.

From what I’ve read on the subject, and from what I’ve experienced weaning two girls now, this isn’t quite right. Sugar is an easy sell to babies, yes, but so are many savory and not too complex flavors, like rich broths. My first daughter had bouillabaisse broth as one of the first things she ever tried, and she loved it immediately. And some sweet things weren’t a big hit right away, notably raspberries for both girls: sweet, yes, but too sour for them out of the gate. A lot of vegetables were acceptable at first taste: broccoli, asparagus, green beans, sweet potatoes, and more. Vegetables were pretty easy sells, as their flavors are fairly mild. Even for ones that weren’t, you just sorta keep putting them in front of the kid and the kid will stick it in his or her mouth, because that’s what babies do with everything, and they’ll warm up.

I think a lot of the issue is marketing. People see “baby food” for sale and assume that’s the sort of stuff you have to give babies. It’s not. Our girls just eat small bits of whatever we eat, and that’ll help them develop a taste for the food we eat. It’s easier and better. Dressing up vegetables to try to convince kids to eat them definitely seems counterproductive. At best, they develop their taste for the dressed up vegetable and not the vegetable itself.
