The Presidency of Donald J. Trump v5.0: ORANGE Gettin' PEACHed, Nation Goes PEANUT BUTTER & BANANAS

You ever think him and Melania are just having some US time, eating ice cream and watching rom coms while lounging in bed?

I know what you’re saying, but how many people that would vote for Trump in 2020 would not vote for Don Jr. if he just keeps saying and doing all the same things that Trump is doing and saying? And Don Jr. is the stupidest person that they could possibly find as an alternative. As long as the find someone who is willing to debase themselves by acting exactly like Trump, they’ll get the Trumpkins. And there’s a chance they can find someone that can whip people like Trump but is also calculating enough to actually get something done.

Sure, just in separate beds in separate rooms in separate buildings.

Tentatively agree with this. Hard for me not to fear the rise of someone who is far smarter than Trump taking the grifting to unprecedented levels now that they see being shameless is actually to their benefit. Psychopaths will often mimic shame because that’s necessary to fit in, but if they see unbridled showmanship coupled with narcissism gets you the Presidency, all you have to do to succeed is be better at it than Trump was.

Now you’ll see that I said psychopath, and that’s because I think Trump isn’t a psychopath. He’s a sociopath given to fits of narcissistic rage. Psychopaths might act like Trump, but it’s a performance. Trump is genuinely shook, but the next person might be a psychopath who is free from any genuine emotional reaction. They appear to be like Trump because they know precisely when and how to act like him to get what they want. Except this time, they’ll be smart enough to get away with it.

Yeah the name misspelling was an actual typo and autocorrect not done intentionally.

I was asking a legitimate question. How many trans people do you know? I know quite a few. Many man to women trans still have very masculine features.

Was supper sensitive to get offended by that question. I did a google search but all I got was the state congress person.

Probably not ideal to get overly offended on behalf of someone that is neither being insulted nor attacked. (Except for her politics).

Yeah… this is what I’m afraid of. The next version of Trump is going to be better at it than this one. The Democrats need to reconfigure themselves to be better at marketing and politics ASAP or this country really will get bad enough to justify HK style protests.

But they rallied around Trump. They aren’t going to rally around a guy like David Duke or Richard Spencer. That’s the difference.

I feel like I’m reading the warning label on a bottle of crazy pills with these takes.

Deploraburbia isn’t going to sit back and watch OMGZ SOCIALISM Bernie Sanders turn their beloved USA#1 into Venezuela. They will show up in droves like they fucking always do, hold their collective noses and vote for whatever slapdick with an (R) next to his name the GOP runs out there. Just exactly like we are gonna do whether it’s Bernie or Pete or Biden or whoever. And the election will come down to the same 5-6 states like always.

I mean we’re talking about their turnout being off 5-10% at most and the losses in turnout would mostly come from blue collar low turnout people who didn’t vote in 2012 but did in 2016.

Trump is mostly just amazing for Democratic turnout. That’s the really big thing happening in 2020. Young voters turning out at 65% instead of 48% wins an awful lot of states we lost in 2016.

You should probably stop posting now.

About 20 years ago, I worked with a guy that was your classic racist deplorable. I remember the day after the 2000 election, I asked him whom he thought won. He had no idea WTF I was talking about. When I told him the general election was the night before, he just laughed and mocked the entire thing.

I’d bet any amount of money that he voted in 2016 for Trump. I’d also bet any amount of money that if Trump isn’t on the ballot in the future, he’s not voting. I bet there are a lot of people like that out there. These people are the true deplorables. All in on the Trump train and if the train goes off the track, so do they.

I don’t think Trump just hanging out in his living quarters is weird. Obama used to play first-person shooters online.

If Trump was so amazing for D turnout he WOULDNT BE FUCKING PRESIDENT JESUS FUCKING CHRIST

I think the version of Trump that we all fear is just as likely to be a Democrat. Both sides are mostly full of scum human beings who would sell their own grandmothers for the votes needed to keep them in power.

I could easily be wrong here, but I think some time in the last 20 years or so it got a lot worse - meaning if you kicked in a million or so to the GOP or the Dems you could be ambassador to San Marino or Andorra - but they put actual career diplomats in postings in countries that matter. Now we get fuckwits in Ukraine - where you need someone who actually knows what they’re doing.

And I can tell you that the only Republicans I’m still on speaking terms with didn’t turn out for Trump. Hardcore Romney people from Utah were never really on board with Trump… the two groups probably cancelled each other out in 2016 now that I’m thinking about it.

Big difference between 2016 and 2020 though. The 2018 elections and so far this year have showed that D voters are turning up to vote.

I just don’t think this is true. Trump is the vehicle for their new drug. He’s not the drug itself. Any psychopath politician worth their salt is going to see this and become the GOP’s version of Gus Fring.

It’s still only 22% of the population.

Governors are not the same as a national election.
