The Presidency of Donald J. Trump v5.0: ORANGE Gettin' PEACHed, Nation Goes PEANUT BUTTER & BANANAS

Florida put the literal biggest Medicare fraud perpetrator in US history in the Senate. Come on.

Not true. The way you know someone is a True Trumper is if they are still a Trumper. Anyone who defects was always a Never Trumper all along.

Deep inside, volcanoes are very hot and lava-ey

And it’s all so unpredictable. Trump in prison could just as easily be martyr and make things worse. I don’t care much about justice compared to what course of events makes it so the expectation is for fewer people locked up, bombed, suffering, spied on, harassed etc…

Was it Debbie Wasserman Schultz or is that some other Florida criminal in Congress?

Voter turnout in the GE is always higher. FL was blue in 2008/2012.

Dems will win White House I’m 2020 and then lose it again in 2024 because there will be no Trump to vote against. Dem voters will relax.

I don’t think that’s true. It’s not Pence or bust for the Republicans. If Trump isn’t able to run in the next election, they will find a person that follows the Trump playbook but without the dementia. That’s arguably worse than having erratic Trump run.

Rick Scott

Trump’s base is all about Trump. Once he leaves, they have no interest.

Trump is like LeBron James and Trumpkins are LeBron fans. They follow whatever team LeBron is on, whether it’s the Cavs/Heat/Lakers but don’t care about the team once he leaves.

Trump is probably just severely constipated. He’s gonna be fine after another day or so on the WH porcelain.

Yeah, I just don’t see anyone else with the reality TV star power that was a bit part of Trump’s success. The MAGA chuds aren’t going to turn out for some boring-ass Nazi like Steve King.

To be fair fraud is one of the biggest industries in Florida.

I think the real question is how many people voted for Trump that normally don’t pay attention to politics. It takes time and effort to get a voter registration card and go vote. If it’s a big number, the GOP really is cooked. Once Trump leaves, they’ll stop voting b/c they were only voting for Trump ever.

I think my expectation is a lot more cynical and pessimistic than yours.

I find this hard to believe. A Republican that keeps saying “Trump was right…”, “Trump had the right idea…”, “I would approach that like Trump…” and also continues to do all the stuff Trump does re: attacks on journalists, attacks on immigrants, attacks on women, etc., will get all the Trumpkins. People didn’t start being racist, homophobic, misogynistic, etc., because of a personal admiration of Trump. It’s completely the other way around.

I think the GOP struggles to get turnout up to Trumpian levels post Trump, but mostly because the far right wing voters will have tasted Trump’s product and won’t be willing to go back to Mitt Romney’s. It’s like eating the most delicious version of some food. Eating the less good version is never the same again.

No quid? Then no quo. Trump should know this.

I am never going to look that gift horse in the mouth, if it shows up.
