One time I had to stop and get gas. I went into the gas/convenience store and I noticed this guy that looked homeless shopping around and buying food. He paid and went outside. After I left the store, he was waiting by the front door and asked me for money. After I told him I saw him inside buying food, he said he needed beer money. I was like “FOH.”
I once gave a homeless guy ~a dollar in lose change on the way into a Dunkin Donuts. When I came out he asked for more and I politely said no. He waved me off and said “Alright, well FUCK YOU THEN!”
I didn’t give anything to the homeless people I encountered for a long time after that, and have since only been willing to buy them food directly.
And I watched, last night – a couple of people understood. Actually, a couple of the Democrats – I won’t say which ones – but a couple of the more competent Democrats actually understood what I was doing and what the plan is.
Tulsi 2020 just received a presidential endorsement?
Saudi Arabia is paying for 100 percent of the cost, including the cost of our soldiers. And that negotiation took a very short time – like, maybe, about 35 seconds.
And we have a very good relationship – sometimes stymied by the European Union, which is, frankly, very tough to deal with and very tough negotiators, very unfair negotiators.
Tough! Like me. But also unfair! ( Also like me)
Syria probably will have a partner of Russia – whoever they may have. I wish them all a lot of luck. You know, Russia was involved in Afghanistan. Used to be called the Soviet Union. Now it’s called Russia for a reason, because they lost so much money in Afghanistan, that they had to downsize. A very big downsizing.
Q But should Rudy have registered as a foreign lobbyist, though? That’s the question here.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: I don’t know what he did. I – I don’t know. That’s up to him.
Q He had clients and he was talking to you.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: That, you have to ask – excuse me, no. You have to ask Rudy those questions. Don’t ask me. But Rudy was one of many people that was incensed at the corruption that took place during that election. Pure corruption.
When asked about his upcoming meeting with Pelosi:
They figure they can’t win the election, so maybe we can find some ground. “We’ll get somebody that Trump never met, and maybe they’ll say something bad about Trump. And if they do really bad, maybe it can stick a little bit.” I don’t think it’s going to work. They’ve treated the Republican Party with great disrespect.
In case you wondered what it’s like if you just give Trump a little bit of praise:
Q Mr. President, because you’re winning so much with the WTO, because you’re growing the biggest economy –
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Wait, there’s a great question I’m being asked. This is maybe the greatest question I’ve been asked in a long time. Please put those mics over here. Go ahead.
Q Because you’re winning with the WTO, because you’re growing the biggest economy the world, are you willing to give Italy a break on tariffs?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: … Thank you. Good question. I love that question.
Based on the timing of it being revealed that Rudy has been under investigation since early 2019, it seems highly highly highly likely it’s a Mueller referral. Especially since certain things are lining up with what Flynn did. And none of this stuff is about 2016 Russian election interference.
Maybe their inability to feel and express normal levels of civility and gratitude helps explain why they are homeless. I doubt that should be counted much against that guy, and certainly not the homeless in general. We all have anecdotes of “scammy” homeless people, but I don’t think that should over color our reaction to the plight of the homeless.
One (of many) problems I have with conservatism is that conservatives expect everyone to bootstrap themselves, partially to absolve conservatives from feeling bad about the plight of their fellow man. However, it’s pretty clear that 10-15% of people, whether from mental disability, psychological defects, or basic health issues, is not fit to live normally in a complex postindustrial society. I think that’s a major problem that we handle very poorly, particularly in the US.
