Fox News in the break room at work (fucking infuriates me that they blast that propaganda loudly while the sports TV is muted) last night.
The spin on the boos is “of course a stadium full of lawyers and lobbyists would boo Trump, they are the swamp he is draining”.
So predictable and transparent… but disheartening to hear two ladies watching use that as a springboard into bitching about welfare which somehow led to “and its fucking disgusting that schools let boys use the girls bathroom if they say ‘I’m a girl’. Do they let them shower with the girls too?”

Need to know where EXTREMELY CONCERNING falls on the spectrum. Is that better or worse than EXTREMELY TROUBLING? How about EXTREMELY DISTURBING or HIGHLY PROBLEMATIC?
Makes me wonder how many others would flip if Dems threatened immediate incarceration more often. Beyond me why perjury is a snap conviction in court and the public eye, but far more egregious offenses get stern letters and baseball boos
The Dems know it’s a mostly empty threat when they’re in charge, plus if they establish the precedent Rs will use it to round every last one of them up once they regain power.
They will do that anyway

I want to say restricting use of legitimate powers for oversight because you’re afraid someone else will abuse those same powers is a ridiculous argument, but then I think of nuclear proliferation and become devil’s advocate
