very helpful brah
The real questions are how many iPhone owners own 5 iPhones, and how many are the ones that are donated/paid for by movie/TV production companies/product placement?
I’m not buying it. Nixon didn’t make the R brand toxic with Watergate and Agnew, Reagan didn’t with Iran-Contra, the Bushes didn’t with WMD and war crimes. In fact, each one of those administrations, up to and including Trump, employed Nixon people with expertise in shenanigans and rat-fucking.
The Koch’s and Murdoch are going on two generations of 24/7 brainwashing and it has worked beyond their wildest dreams.
In the off chance they do decide they need to change to appeal to young voters, it won’t take them years; maybe months. If 2020 ends in a Dem landslide, by March of that year you’ll see R talking points include the Received Wisdom that they were the ones against caging kids all along, and they were the party of preventing climate change all along, and we were at war with Eastasia all along…
How about you make some gunz lawz. That would make a lot of people feel better.
The only way I can see your post being on topic is if I take it those are the questions you want Dems to lead with next time
Radical, but maybe it’s what is needed
Okay but hear me out. Roger Stone was perhaps the greatest living icon of Nixon enablers who got away with it and enjoyed greater success than ever in his elder years. He was a vision of what the most corrupt people around powerful politicians could get away with and thrive.
That motherfucker is almost certainly going to prison now. I cannot imagine it doesn’t give even the deepest sociopath a moment’s pause to see their dreams of dying fat and happy and free might get replaced with a prison cell.
I will say the internet age changes things. Younger people vet stuff a hell of a lot more than Boomers do. I think it will have a different impact on the GOP than people realize.
Remember when Zuck was being questioned at Congress? Half of those clowns thought Facebook was a pyramid scheme and Zuck had to explain how ad revenue works.
A lot of LOLOLDS don’t know how to do anything online other than play solitaire. The younger generations don’t have that problem.
Chairman: I yield to ranking member Nunes.
Nunes: Ms. Yovanovitch, may I call you ‘Masha’? You know like that mole in the TV show The Blacklist about a cabal running a shadow government?
Yovanovitch: wtf, you moron.
Nunes: When Ambassador Taylor was on the phone with Ambassador Sondland was Sondland on an iPhone or an Android?
Yovanovitch: I don’t know.
Nunes: What about Ambassador Taylor, was he on an iPhone (holds his iPhone up to the camera and puts his hand under the logo like a Price is Right model) or an Android?
Yovanovitch: I don’t know.
Nunes: A ha, she doesn’t know whether he was using an iPhone (holds up phone again)!
Yovanovitch: …
Nunes: (turns and laughs with colleagues who all hi-five each other accidentally revealing they’ve all been chatting on WhatsApp on their iPhones) I yield the rest of my time to Mr. Jordan.
Jordan: The Democrats have a vast conspiracy to SMEAR the iPhone. I use it to read wikileaks and communicate with Assange all the time. Do you think anyone knows about tha–WITHDRAWN. I yield back.
Chairman: I’d like to advise the witness that just because the minority members are saying something is true does not make it so.
Meadows: Point of Order Mr. Chairman.
Chairman: Mr. Meadows is recognized for the Point of Order.
Meadows: Who are you to judge about who’s lying about whether people were using an iPHONE? (holds up iPhone making sure everyone can see the logo)
Chairman: Overruled, the gentleman will suspend. We are here to do a job today, and it’s important that we respect the wit–
Jordan: Mr. Chairman are you seriously SMEARING Steve Jobs, the creator of the iPhone (holds it up for the camera pointing angrily at the logo)?
Chairman: The gentleman will suspend. I would tell you to ignore them, Ms. Yovanovitch, but you obviously can’t do that.
Yovanovitch: No shit.
LOL I chuckled when I saw where you were going. This would have been at least more relevant than Nunes bringing up Trump nudes.
You can still ignore users with hidden profiles. Go to Preferences, then click on Users. You can manually ignore any regular user from there even if they have a hidden profile.
Can we ignore mods tho?
No.
Yes, but rhetorical questions are the best form of protest we have
Sinclair is much more dangerous as it comes disguised as local news which the olds have unwarranted historical trust. Plus they are diversified all over the country.
The upside is the target market for off brand local channels continues to shrink but their impact can absolutely hit people who say they are not falling for the Fox News banana on the tailpipe.
I’ve noticed that some really shady stuff seems to be going on with Trump approval polls at 538. I check it every few days, and I noticed that yesterday Rasmussen had a 46% poll up, but today it was replaced with a 48% poll while the 46% one disappeared. I’ve seen this happen a number of times on there, and it certainly is weighted enough to change the approval ratings overall average by .2
There are over 100 million iPhones in the US. Apple News also is delivered to Macs, iPads and Apple Watches. Let’s ballpark 140 million devices.
Ultra conservatively I feel comfortable saying 20 million of those users get Apple news notifications as a primary news source. Many more than that have it impact them to a lesser extent.
Having multiple devices is not much of a mitigator as receiving the same messages on multiple devices just serve to reinforce those messages.
I have 2 Macs and I have never once opened Apple News or seen any of these notifications apropos of whatever.
All of this and still the most optimistic person here thinks there’s a greater than zero chance Trump will be removed. Greater than 1%? No telling.
Not me
Just ignore him already.
