supposedly (white house press sec said this so grain of salt) he’s signing a social media executive order tomorrow and R congress is at least at the beginning stages of bills to strip social media protections if they fact check users

If he actually wants to get serious (as opposed to just whining and working the refs), I think he’d try to modify section 230 of the communications decency act. The tl/dr of that act is that, with some exceptions, platforms like FB/Twitter/etc. can’t be held liable for the content that other people post on their platforms.
This would open up a big can of worms, so I don’t think Trump would actually do it. But it’s a pretty effective tool to threaten them with. Similarly, I’d expect to see some musings about FB and antitrust issues (probably coming from Barr) if he thinks Zuck is getting out of line.
