Meh, I think they missed their one chance with impeachment of any kind unless the Dems take the Senate and lose the WH in November which is highly unlikely.
They completely botched the Trump impeachment. Bolton’s a POS but he (and a bunch of us here, fwiw) were right in that the Dems rushed it and didn’t cover nearly enough wrongdoing. They should have handled it like Watergate was handled, a slow drip drip drip for months on end, keep it on the back burner somewhat but still in the news, keep gathering evidence until the case is airtight. It probably wouldn’t have mattered anyway, sure, but if you’re gonna do it at least do it right. What they did was worse than nothing. No sense repeating that imo.
Grr gree. I think not stacking charges and covering every transgression was a massive mistake.
At the very least it places a significantly bigger burden around the neck of senate republicans moving forward. I doubt it would have lead to a conviction, but it would have made the partisan acquittal that much more egregious.
Although I do wonder how it would have played if impeachment hearings were still going on during the pandemic.

So, like tell him 3100 people are going to show up so he’s thrilled when 6200 make it and the place is filled to less than 1/3 capacity? Not sure that’s going to work.
Sure it wont have the same impact of 1000 years of the dark ages, but it’s the same overall vibe. A resurgence of anti-intellectual, anti-science thinking leading to those in power attempting role back years of progress will obviously have an impact. I’m just hoping it wont be as bad as it could be
