I could definitely see him doing something stupid like pardoning Trump in exchange for a promise from Republicans to negotiate in good faith on some issue. Lucy/Football may be a major theme of a Dem admin that is run buy the centrists.

Doesn’t matter. State pardons still would have to be allowed, and there is a pile of litigants lining up. Trump either goes feet first, goes buried in a blizzard of indictments, or has to win in Nov. I’m good with the first two.

edit: to add to this, Braxton Bragg “is generally considered among the worst generals of the Civil War. . . . The losses which Bragg suffered are cited as principal factors in the ultimate defeat of the Confederacy.” So Trump is fighting to keep a based named for one, if not the, worst generals in American history, who even the Confederates didn’t really like.
