Well, ACTUALLY these symbolic gestures do work Trumpkins because proportionality means nothing to them. They just need a data point, regardless of magnitude. So when Dems point out his lifetime full of racism they can just say “but Charles Brown”. Its a version of whataboutism.

not gonna lie, when i saw Daniel Dales tweet that mentioned conservative treehouse, i thought that was some kind of slang, not an actual organization lol
