The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: Old man yells at cloud, presidential edition.

Yeah well said and she certainly fits the definition of the last paragraph. I’d guess she would say above 0% is not justifiable for her at least. But doesn’t seem realistic. I do wonder how we survived at 5-6bn people in 1990s when GMO became commercial.

My guess would be that a couple billion people scrounged around in the dirt for grubs and accepted starvation as a regular part of day to day life.

Still at gross levels (1bn suffering from hunger daily iirc) but a lot better I’m sure.

Yes. I’ve been getting this for a year or so after being diagnosed with a digestion disorder, and it’s great - tastes the same but a little sweeter, and lasts for months.

Please stop talking about milk you guys are going to attract a bunch of white supremacy dip shits that are Googling politics+milk.

I’ve worked for two giants in gmo field. Sadly if we are going to feed 8+ billion people it’s going to take whatever technology to keep yields going up.

They haven’t even really unleashed the full power of crisper on plant genetics yet. So far the stuff from the last 20 years have been resistances—pesticide, pest, herbicide, drought, etc

(Though roundup ready soybeans produced by the same company that makes roundup raises some eyebrows eh?).

Basically when you view it from plant earth, people are the infestation.

I’m not one for conspiracy theories but Trumps “action” on COVID-19 is indistinguishable from someone who was trying to destroy the country with unchecked contagion so I guess what’s even the difference.

Completely setting aside COVID, the optics of these ceremonies is terrible. It’s a bunch of white elites fawning over each other.

On ACB, what’s to stop the Democrats from pulling a GOP and creating an anullment of the ACB confirmation once they have control of the Senate(note: not an impeachment) saying she was confirmed despite procedures not being adhered to (see judicial committee vote) and thus nominating and approving someone else to her seat? Playing the fuck you we just did it anyway card, I know they’re the Dems, but is there some rule against them not recognizing her and just nominating and approving someone else for her spot. Obviously it would sow chaos on the Supreme Court and they then could use said chaos to reform the entire court.

It really feels like inciting huge swaths of the population to contract a deadly virus should be a crime. If a hypothetical president urged the public to have unprotected sex with HIV-positive people, and even say, held huge rally-style pozzing orgies, would that be illegal? This motherfucker needs a trip to the gulag.
