“We The Free” as a tagline just irks me.
I mean not the meaning of it, which is complete disingenuous bullshit, but simply the rhetorical form.
It doesn’t rhyme well the first time you say it, and it’s difficult to tell which part of the phrase you should be emphasizing. And having an adjective take the place of a noun is odd. Just weird awkward verbiage.
