The annual suicide rate for cops is 13 / 100k. So in a force the size of USCP, you would expect 0.3 suicides per year, or one every 173 weeks. On its own, I don’t think the suicide is that suspicious (rate must be elevated after death of another officer and stress of the insurrection), but given the other evidence of some kind of conspiracy, it’s a bit fishy.
Seemingly docs submitted to obtain verified accounts and DMs etc are included in the breach. Apparently, the site didn’t auto-scrub metadata from uploaded files, either, so a ton of Pepe1488GTKRWN types are a lot less anonymous than they may have thought they were.
I get the other 4 references, but what’s GTK?
If this Parler breach is real, then we should be able to develop a searchable database where you can type in a name (pulled from driver’s licenses) and view the associated posting history. I’d love it just to see what my nutjob family is up to, but this would also create a lasting employment blacklist for aspiring terrorists.
I also have to imagine that Parler will be facing a massive class action suit once all these people realize they might actually face consequences for their actions.
Awesome. I shall dream about a bankrupt Dan Bongino.
If you don’t get GTK, you probably think RWN means ‘right-wing nutjob’. It actually means ‘Race War Now’. “Gas The K**es, Race War Now” is a popular slogan in WN circles.
An entire media ecosystem dedicated to mollycoddling you and building an entire fraudulent world a la Truman Show to sell you Lifelock or Patriot Seeds.
On the conspiracy or incompetence angle for law enforcement on Wednesday. In general I agree that there’s all sorts of stuff that needs sorting out to get a proper picture, but it seems two things are relatively clear:
Firstly it wasn’t just one particular agency that did not act as if it was going to be problematic. Obviously the Capitol Police’s preparation seems the worst given their direct responsibility, but from what we know about previous protests in DC multiple other agencies got involved and not solely at the request of the Capitol Police (even if simply because not every aspect of preparing to police something like that is under the direct responsibility of the Capitol Police.) They were all acting as if there was no particular threat, even if individuals in some agencies had tried to flag danger.
Secondly, whether it would have helped or not given the bad preparation, the National Guard was perceived by all involved as what was really needed, the need was communicated to the Pentagon via multiple channels (from where it must have got to the SoD, who was the relevant person in charge), and the authorisation was delayed for a significant time, even after the Capitol was breached. The only options for that, I think, are that Trump himself said no or that he wasn’t asked because they knew he would.
To me that means the simplest hypothesis is that the only people who need to have been ‘in on it’ are Trump and his closest circle. That every agency was unprepared suggests there doesn’t need to have been any special circumstances to be unprepared, it just speaks to the depth of the problem of right / white sympathy in US law enforcement. Though I certainly wouldn’t be amazed if that hypothesis turns out to be wrong.
Yup.
Oh. Yikes.
This should really be set to Gloria
Samesies.
My exact thought process.
Melania prefers cops that don’t get murdered.
She’s just a stickler for alphabetical order!
I’m not going to look it up, but I would bet a lot that impeaching someone within a week of the subject conduct would be the fastest impeachment every by at least an order of magnitude. If you’re going to immediately remove him, then do it as fast as possible, but if you’re doing it for the politics, then you should take some time to make it as politically effective as possible.
In two years, you’re not going to be able to cut an attack ad around the idea that Congressman X said Trump’s coup was an insurrection but it took him 8 days to vote for an impeachment.

The New York State Bar Association is a voluntary professional organization for lawyers. It does not grant or revoke law licenses.
That’s nice and all, but it doesn’t have any practical consequences. It’s not the same thing as being disbarred.
I was typing that as you posted, lol

It’s almost as if the projection comes naturally to them.
Two members of Congress have reported that Sund told them directly that the National Guard was on standby when they weren’t.
