My point is that there is no specific article regarding attempting to subvert the election by pressuring the SOS
I think they’re going to impeach, but the strategy is pretty clearly not to actually remove Trump from office.

Well, don’t feel too bad. I keep reading that a reason to avoid impeachment is so as to not disrupt the first days of Biden’s Presidency. Can only mean they want congress clear for legislation. So you can look forward to maybe a voting rights bill, a health care bill or perhaps DC statehood in the first week or so! Maybe all three!!

It’s all about forcing Republicans’ hands by forcing them to take a vote on this. Do they stand with Dear Leader and risk losing the support of ‘moderate’ Republicans (lol)? Do they reject Trumpism and risk primary challenges by nutjobs for the rest of their careers? (It’s also why Pelosi has insisted on the 25th first, so that administration officials that don’t vote in Congress are still on-the-record-ish with the same decision.)
As a strategy to actually improve things in the country, lol no. But as political theater and maybe making life hard for like three Republicans, sure go for it. It’s as good as anything else they could do in these last couple lame duck weeks.
