The Presidency of Donald J. Trump, Episode XIV: T-minus 97 Hours

How about we wait until the fucking guy is in office before we criticize him?

Something to think about is that right wingers are probably not too scared of going against NY or whatever in a theoretical Civil War.

The NYPD just give De Blasio and Cuomo a noogy, throw them in the closet, run a Trump flag up the flagpole at the statehouse and boom, NY is now conquered and on the side Trumpland in the Civil War.

I read somewhere inaugurations are typically guarded much much heavier with multiple groups of law enforcement. I would assume this inauguration doubles down on that.

Q, eDem, RINO, MAGA, Antifa, BLM beer summit.

Are you serious? If that happened, the NYPD wouldn’t hold NYC for an hour, every station would be stormed, looted and burning.

Me: I’m getting a new boss in 2 weeks and the guy is a complete cocksucker POS even though he’s never held the position and I have no idea what he’s gonna do when he takes the job.

Unstuck: Sounds like Joe Biden! Off with his head!

You guys are nuts and you wonder why this place doesn’t grow.

A basic fact that we all applaud is changing demographics. Whether they say the government is doing it or Jews are replacing them, a shit load of white Christians in the country would rather go to war than lose their majority. A lot of the irrational Q stuff or whatever is irrelevant.

We know who Biden is though. He isn’t going to get into office and go out cracking MAGA skulls. His entire campaign was about unity. I’m sorry but unity isn’t what we need. We have a literal enemy festering and growing inside this country that needs to be defeated. It’s hard seeing Biden actually grasping that. It’s one thing to say stern things after an atrocity. It’s another thing to actually try and do anything about it. (See: Every school shooting ever)

I know everyone hates cops in this forum, and in many ways I do too, but most are pretty by the book. The worst ones are the old ones who run the unions. Don’t just stipulate to all cops being treasonous Trumpers. Almost all big city police depts are overseen by dems.

It really does seem like the most likely outcome. Everybody’s trying to draw analogies to the Third Reich, which was more or less a one-off fluke, but the reality is probably going to be a lot closer to the many, many protracted insurrection movements that drag on for decades with brief flare ups of low grade civil war. That shit happens all the time, everywhere.

Good luck banning guns. I’m sure you’ll be voted for over and over again.

More gun control polls well. So I’m not really sure what your point is. In some ways you are making my point for me by saying we should only do what is polically expedient rather than the hard work to actually improve the country.

Like dude I don’t hate Joe Biden. It’s just painfully obvious he sees this as an isolated event or completely a product of Trump when it is much worse than that. He was praising Mitch fucking McConnell for crying out loud.

This guy is a good cop. He led the mob away from the Senate

I was more lukewarm on Garland a few days ago, but he actually run a substantial part of the DOJ in the past and helped to implement the post-Nixon reforms. He may actually be a very good choice. The issue is discussed in the latest Skullduggery podcast. The Garland Justice Department - Skullduggery

Yes, using the Capitol Police as an example (when the fucking nation’s Capitol was stormed with members of Congress meeting inside), it does not bode well for stopping insurrections at state capitols and many many other places across the country.

People have been pointing out the problematic nature of the guardians being on one “side” of a national rift for years, and it seems to have manifest on Wednesday and perhaps in the coming months/years.

Once they know they can get away with it with little consequence, it’s open season. They are literally planning an escalated version of what went 10 days ago as we speak.

The hard work is at the local level, not the national level. But if you screw up at the national level, you can screw the local level up.

Can we criticize him based on what he announced to do like reaching across the aisle and work with McConnell? Because that sure sounds doomed to fail.

Well, good news then. There will probably be 2 or 3 more coup attempts by the 20th. Maybe he’ll change his mind.
