The focus on the justice system’s response to the riot/rioters is natural and appropriate but, as someone sagely pointed out previously in this thread, the “extra-legal” response is in many ways more important. This includes but is not limited to people losing their jobs.
It will be very interesting to see how widespread and lasting is the societal condemnation of the riots and everything they stood for. Hopefully this will be a day of reckoning for far more people than entered the Capitol on Wednesday.
