The Presidency of Donald J. Trump, Episode XIV: T-minus 97 Hours

I’m not going to just say you’re wrong, but I don’t know that that is how the police and maga crowd got or remained racist or hateful and I’m not sure that’s how our police became or remained violent and racist. Canada and the UK have a different history and Germany did a lot of things after WWII.

there’s going to be a filter from those who were just there for instagram photo ops, just for the party, and those who were serious about it, the latter are going to be tougher to find because they weren’t as stupid as the rest of the group, and the media will concentrate on the former, because we just want to point and laugh at how dumb they are more than anything else.

That was worded wrong most definitely, while I also think it is important to distinguish between those police and the modern police state.

As said before, there’s room between doing nothing and charging everyone in there with sedition. As far as misrepresenting arguments goes, it’s gone both ways here a little, but literally no one has suggested that murder and conspiracy to kidnap are not to be treated as serious crimes here.

eta: Otoh, maybe it’s hyperbole, but charging hundreds of people with sedition (and I think murder) has been repeatedly advocated.

You need to get online bro. If you can’t identify the Garrison pantheon at a glance I can’t help you.

Of all the times not to label! Who are the three between Kelly and Mitt and the three after Geraldo?

I can’t tell if you’re leveling or missed the joke. I think leveling, because of what you bolded, but I guess I’m missing that joke.

I think Hip is maybe the only one who has really posted this? And I dont take him super seriously in that, as he’s more good at quips then elegant posting.

I’m not for charging everybody. My main point is that the response to this will be very underwhelming and this will cause what happens next to be worse and more dangerous. I rarely, if ever have argued for the heavy handed approach here. I understand why you guys are against it. But there is a very, very real chance that in 4 years the GOP is back in power. There were state level GOP actors currently in power there. I would think hard of how they will act both in the next few years without power, and what happens when they get it back.

Again, you can’t change the fact that the police are on their side.

I’ve put my body in front of Nazis before and I’ll put my hands on one if the time comes. That’s more than calling the cops will ever do.

So she just straight up copied Basic Instinct?

Keeed didn’t only say it, he was willing to bet on it. Not specifically hundreds, but he bet me that the podium guy would be charged with sedition.

Just about every Republican politician is complicit in a failed coup attempt. To think they will actually open it up for a public trial is absurd. Keeping the door open for an additional coup when the time is right is just an added bonus for them.

My understanding is Keed thought maybe one or two would, not everyone?
Cnn/msnbc really believed this, idk how long of a shot it is.

I think a ton of those at the Capitol have the potential to be very dangerous when they come back with their guns. The more of them we can put in jail for a year neutralizes things a bit.

That video from a few minutes before the psycho Q mom got shot is pure aggression and rage.

No it’s auto-documentary.

He didn’t bet on one or two, he bet on one specific guy and it was podium guy not the guy with handcuffs. I think I proposed the guy anyway. He thought they were all going down I think.
