What do they want to make illegal that wasn’t already illegal? Everyone who broke into the capitol could be charged with forty years worth of crimes.
I’m slightly tilted that everybody’s referring to “zip ties” instead of “flex cuffs” but it seems like that battle is already lost.
Flex cuffs are heavy duty and specifically designed to restrain humans and not computer cables. It’s the difference between A and B:

I know it’s all sort of fucked up watching a person die but the only way I know how to put it is like this: If one of you, an Unstuck Politics Forum member, ever ran for office, and was duly elected, and tried to do some little bit of good in the world, and wicked people tried to breach a room you were in and do you harm, I’d hope and pray there was a man with a gun and a firm trigger finger and a steel resolve who’d put down those wicked people without flinching or blinking. This isn’t about being pro or anti-cop, or about being pro or anti-statist, and it’s not even about being pro or anti-violence; it’s just about having faith in the courage of your convictions.
